Amazing performances that you won’t see anywhere else. The seats are interesting double seats, and the balcony is not for folks who have a fear of heights. But all of that is worth it to see the performances they present.

One of the most beautiful spaces in NYC.

Went to watch a dance program here. A nice small hall in midtown. Good for music/ theatre and dance performance.

An enormous thank you to the BAC for their generosity and a brilliant show!...
Two of us came from Mexico to see Baryshnikov perform (and the third of us an Estonian from Montréal), and with the currency exchange, we were only able to buy the lowest price, last row tickets...
However an hour before the show, customer service Chaslyn emailed us, and offered to improve our tickets for free, and we ended up seated in fourth row!!

The show was sublime, the setup and production clever, and the story was gripping.

Afterwards we ran into señor Baryshnikov in the street, he was kind enough to take a selfie with my girlfriend, who'd been a ecstatic fan since her childhood in Sinaloa!

A big thank you to everyone involved, señorita Nakatani, the staff, the production (we love Montréal!), and hopefully we can return again one day!

Beautiful studio spaces; nice kitchenette & dining area on the 4th floor. Enjoying rehearsals here quite a lot.

Staff are cordial and easy to work with.

4th floor's Jerome Robbins performance space is great — black-box setup with armless cushioned seats at a rake that should offer a good view to all audience members.

Very nice theater. The seating is a little odd, bench seats and they pack people in so be prepared to be squished against strangers the entire time.

Good and affordable venue, opened about 15 years ago, the BAC features several floors. If you are reading this short review, the chances are you will be heading to Jerome Robbins Theater, itself located on two levels, floor 3 is for the 'Orchestra' section of the theater and 3b for the 'Balcony'. The access is via both the elevator or the stairs, located on the left of the main entrance. Taking the stairs includes one trick. Once you get to the 2nd floor, the further portions of the stairs is blocked off. You then have to take the alternative staircase accessed through the standard "emergency exit" door.
To check in your outwear, you have to use the coat check (self-service) in front of the "Orchestra" doors.
The venue's design is excellent, due to the steep incline, almost every seat in the audience allows for an unobstructed view.
Most of the BAC shows are offered at a budget-friendly price of $25 per person.
The lower level (Ll) houses Mary Flagler Cary Hall and Victor & Sono Elmaleh Musicians' Lounge. The 1st floor houses Charles Grossman Cafe, Norman S. Benzaquen Hall, Marianne Lockwood Green Hall, and Virginia James Learning & Media Studio, while the 2nd floor is a home for Charles Grossman Lounge, Baisley Powell Elebash Room, and Robert & Jean Ashton Music Library. The 4th floor houses Howard Gilman Performance Space, Rudolph Nureyev Stdio, as well Danny Kaye & Sylvia Fine Kaye Studio. The 5th floor is reserved for BAC and OSL (Orchestra of St. Luke's) offices, and the last, 6th floor houses John Cage & Merce Cunningham Studio and Christina Sterner Studio.

A learning, entertaining and growing experience always @BACSpace. I was able to see a wealth and variety of art develop before my eyes. And the setting was fantastic as well. My photo (last) and theirs (there are artists of many media).
