Had a quick lunch, we were helped quickly, and food was fresh. I hope we can come again for dinner in the near future.
i am torn writing this review. food was amazing! the best tuna i have ever had also the tempura was to die fo. my husband also had a yummy ramen. i thought the restaurant had a weird vibe and you only have 90 minutes to eat?! seriously... not even two hours to enjoy a nice meal. its worth going, make a reservation but dont expect a nice romantic vibe
My partner reserved a table for our anniversary at Yabase. It was very difficult to get anyone answering the phone in the first place. We had 90min to order and eat.
The menu is easy to follow and we chose the Chef's selection for Sashimi, a tempura platter, some tuna nigiri and sake maki. Together with one Sapporo beer and a glass of wine, we paid about 105€ excl. tip.
The fish was ... chef's kiss! Just amazing quality and perfectly cut. The tempura was crispy and overall good.
However, the service rarely talked to us. They clean up the plates immediately after we were done eating. The lighting was very bright and reminded me of a canteen. Since we were seated close to the door it was very cold as other guests who tried to come into the restaurant kept the door wide open ...
The service was very attentive towards the Japanese guests and ignored most of the rest.
Do not recommend for a romantic dinner date.

The set meal is very good, the portion size and taste are good. The only regret is the male waiter. My friend was in line, but I just walked away and would be back in a few minutes. The male waiter wouldn't let my friend in and had to wait until I came back. It's very arrogant and unreasonable. We are disappointed with this.
What an experience! Totally worth the higher price.
Fresh fish, incredible craftmanship (?!) because the fish was just exceptional.
I tried the luxus plate ( which has many different sushi type to try) - best for a beginner at yabase.
My favourite was chyutorro one 🫶🏻

A wonderful experience at this restaurant. The sushi is of the highest quality and the service is outstanding.
Probably the best sushi I have ever eaten outside of Japan. The Soba was also fantastic!
The fish, super fresh, tasty and delicious. Fast service - but please remember to book in advance as seats are limited.

This is the ultimate spot in Düsseldorf for high-quality sushi at a reasonable price. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the service is top-notch. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks to be aware of. The restroom facilities could be improved, and the seating arrangement is a bit unusual due to the restaurant's small size. To avoid disappointment, make sure to reserve a table in advance. I noticed several people turned away today because they didn't have a reservation. Plan ahead, and you'll secure your spot for a delightful dining experience!
