The servers don't take directions well, so if you need to make alterations or special requests please be clear and precise. Do repeat yourself. I asked for fried eggs well done preseason. I got eggs wet in the middle and no season at all. My waffle was hard and fruit was not good quality. However, my friend enjoyed her omelet very much. 50/50 hit or miss, I suppose

This spot made my day! I live all the way in East Brooklyn, so the trek to Harlem is a lot. As soon as I walked in the door the staff was very welcoming and attentive. I was waiting for the rest of a large party to arrive and decided to get started on breakfast.

Everything was delicious! I had eggs, bacon and potatoes. As well as coffee and a mimosa (because, why not?). I also ordered a couple of pain aux raisins to go because my son loves them. He ate them in roughly 3 minutes.

The energy of the space was great and very comfortable. It's a good place if you'd like to get some work done on your computer and dine solo, or to go with a group. They made it easy for everyone to pay separately, which was awesome!

My next trip back to Harlem will surely include this spot!

Wonderful little spot that seems to be under appreciated. I had a reservation for Renaissance Harlem, but when I arrived with my niece they seemed not to have my reservation, but a table was available. We stat down and waited for our waiter who, after 10 minutes didn't appear - no water nor utensils were bought to our table during this time, so we left, and went to Harlem Cafe.

Harlem Cafe is a bright, modern spot staffed solely by Africans which is a breath of fresh air. Service was terrific! I didn't give it 5 stars only because the waiter sat us near the bathroom when there were plenty of empty tables not near the bathroom. We asked to move to another table which we did. I had the eggs and my niece had the Belgian waffles. Everything was tasty. Service was prompt. This will be my go to spot for brunch.

This place was really good. I had drove to NYC from Washington DC, and had business in Harlem to do, So I had decided to stop here for Peppermint Latte and Black Bean Burger ! I will certainly come back here in two weeks !

I tried the lentil soup and a cup of black coffee, which taste great. The atmosphere was perfect, the only minor problem was the music was a bit too loud. Aside from the music volume which was lowered by the staff, I would return again for their Lentil Soup.

Nice breakfast spot with nice staff. The food was pretty good. Loved the hot chocolate. My only issue was that the Belgian waffle was as big as my palm, and for the price ($15 or $17), it should be as big as the plate like in a diner.

This is exactly what the neighborhood needed! The breakfast here is delicious. We enjoyed the mushroom omelette and the pancakes. The service is ok. The atmosphere is warm and makes you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. Great job to the owner Cisse!

Have walked by this place a million times and with friends in town, finally decided to stop in. Arrived around 2pm on a Wednesday and there were just three tables there and plenty of staff with amazing service.

Started off with mimosas and sadly they only had regular, OJ and champagne...so I would have prefered another flavor but these did not disappoint. Not sour at all and were on the sweeter side.

Ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the egg sandwich with bacon. Both were delicious, we ate every last bit and didn't leave anything. Glad I finally stopped in as this will be a quick staple for the neighborhood, and I'd love to try other things on their menu.

The service was also great with the food coming out hot! So hot we both had to give it a few to cool down. The restaurant was clean and modern with a single stall restroom that was also clean.
