Had a whole year to plan commencement, no organization, integrity… utter chaos. What a joke. 1000’s of students left outside because this school doesn’t understand how to do anything properly. Crazy how class of 2024 graduated highschool online and now many of them graduating standing outside the stadium in the rain. Yippee NYU!
This is a university, and it's Nice looking from the outside. I can't tell you how it looks inside.
Mandatory reflection papers for being American citizens and exercising freedom of speech. Despicable.
As an international PhD student, the greatest strength of NYU is its radical and non-traditional academic approach (even compared to other renown universities in the US) as well as its amazing location which allows you to absorb the world’s most culturally sophisticated and diverse urban vibe, ultimately inspiring your future study.
I mean, I guess there is no need to say they only care about the money because i feel like thats obvious, I study media at nyu and I can assure you that you will get an acceptance if you’re either famous, related to one, this school is not a place for dreamers, is a place for spoiled kids that never had to fight for anything except eras tour tickets.
And they will brag for taking 10 years of singing lessons when they know damn well anybody else could do it if they had the money, most kids spent 1000 dollars casually in a single day, they make you dream of going there only so they can brutally crush it, and those who attend it wear it like a medal, even though, once again, they know damn well anyone else could do it if they had the money.
I regret attending NYU and I feel ashamed for it, when people find out i go here their faces immediately change to discussed and embarrassed, they know I had it easy and they know im just another spoiled kid. The classes are AWFUL and literally could have learned it by myself

NYU is not your traditional university with miles of green acreage and beautifully manicured pathways connecting academic buildings. This university basically surrounds Washington Square, a small park filled with eclectic personalities, which acts as the school's common area, while the university itself spreads out in a 2 block radius in each direction around that same park. Given its compact size, there are tons of people passing through here, most of which are a mix between students, tourists, and locals. The school has around 28,000 enrolled students. If you like the excitement of a big city married to the concept of a college campus, NYU is your vibe. We toured here, and my daughter loved it. I thought it strange that we didn't get to see any classrooms, dining facilities, or living quarters on the tour, and I think this would have benefitted our overall experience. This is one of the only college tours we've been on that left out all three. There is a lot of emphasis on academics and research opportunities for students. NYU stands as the premiere educational institution in New York City next to Columbia.
Beautiful architecture old style building.
Water fountain was so beautiful.
Went there to check out Nyu for my daughter

If it wasn't already called Washington Square Park, it would called NYU Park, as the campus almost completely surrounds it. Made up of multiple buildings and dorm housings, it also has a ton of restaurants and small businesses surrounding it.
It's a great institution, but their alumni are often saddled with massive debt. But hey, it's an awesome school. If you have money, it's definitely worth it to live in NYC, party, and go to school. Their programs are top-notch.
