Absolutely stunning… drive down a single track road that ends with parking and toilets. Then it is a steep walk down steps but definitely worth it. Be careful it’s very windy at times if you go on the top of the hill behind the castle. If the sun is out you can’t beat it & it’s completely free

A beautiful site with amazing views and a castle ruin. The car park is spacious and there are toilets with a couple of picnic tables. Beware the steps are really steep and coming back up is very tiring so only do this if you can!

If I had more time, I definitely would have walked down the many stairs to see if up close but we had to get to the Giants Causeway for our allotted hour. Still it is worth a stop for a gorgeous photo.

One of the most beautiful coasts in the area. Be preapared to walk downhill at a steep incline but most importantly remember that you’ll have to walk up the stairs the same way.

There is a very lovely and relatively flat grassy meadow at the bottom on the hill if anyone wishes to bring a blanket and rest for a bit.

The variety of minerals and rocks of all kinds is quite wide. On occasion and you’re lucky you may spot an odd sheep (potentially lost and hopefully to be soon found)

Photos attached were taken in March at around 6pm local time.

Truly a must see, quite an amazing view and no entrance fee, free parking (which is rare in this touristy area 😅). Do plan good shoes and get ready to climb down and then up about 100 high stairs. It may be quite slippery as well, we saw a good few people tripping due to muddy areas.

This was one of our highlights of the coastal route. Free parking in small car park, and entry. Well worth the hundreds of steps, I didn’t count them, but it is hundreds. The castle ruins are small but majestic, set across a small causeway that almost certainly gets cut off at times. Look out for the waterfall too.

A really pretty castle in some amazing scenery. It is well worth making the walk from the car park to at least part way down the stairs towards the castle to get a good view of it. The stairs are slippery and muddy so do take care.

5/5, 10/10, 100/100!!! I could not recommend giving this place a stop more!!! Some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland! There is a nice path leading down to the bottom of the cliff where the castle is. There are sheep at the bottom as well which are fun to see! You can stay on the bottom along the beach or you can continue up the path to the edge of the cliff where it overlooks the ocean! I was lucky enough to see a seal while I was out there!
