The relaxing atmosphere 😌 loved the music. 🎶 The food and drinks were spectacular. We overstayed our time due to catching up with family, but everyone was pleasant. We're going back next week.😋

We tried The Rusty Monk for the first time tonight and it was fantastic. I got the braised short ribs and was blown away by how delicious it was. My husband got the shepherds pie and love it!! We will definitely be back!!!

Excellent service, food, and beer. I have tried their osso bucco, fish and chips, sausages, cheeseburger, and pretzels and they have all been amazing. They have a great selection of German beers, too. On the weekends they have a live performer who plays the saxophone which is always wonderful. I would highly recommend!

I recently visited the Rusty Monk in Uptown Whittier, and I must say, it's a hidden gem worth discovering. This cozy little spot offers a delightful combination of good food, an excellent beer selection, and a friendly staff that adds to the overall experience. While the place could benefit from a bit of tender loving care, it still retains a casual and welcoming ambiance.

Let's start with the food. The Rusty Monk delivers on flavor and quality. From their appetizers to their main courses, each dish showcases the kitchen's skill and creativity. Whether you're craving traditional pub fare or looking to try something a little more adventurous, their menu has something for everyone. The flavors are well-balanced, and the portion sizes are satisfying.

The Rusty Monk goes above and beyond to cater to beer connoisseurs, offering a wide range of brews that will leave you spoilt for choice. Whether you prefer crisp lagers, hoppy IPAs, rich stouts, or refreshing ales, their selection has something to satisfy every palate. The staff is knowledgeable about the beers they serve and can provide valuable recommendations based on your preferences, ensuring that you find the perfect brew to accompany your meal.

One aspect that the Rusty Monk falls slightly short on is the overall condition of the establishment. The wear and tear are noticeable, and the place could use some refurbishing. However, don't let that discourage you. Despite the slight lack of TLC, the atmosphere remains relaxed, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal with friends and share a round of cold beers.

Live music on Fridays for happy hour. I didn't eat here, but the house made pretzels are phenomenal! They are soft and bread-like.

Went on a Saturday for lunch. Wasn't busy. Food and service was good. Excellent burger. They tag on a 4.4% surcharge if you pay by credit card. You can ask the waiter to adjust it on the handheld payment device if you want to pay by cash.

The beer selection is good - I love the 3-6pm daily happy hour! Way more worth it cause the beer is a little more expensive. But quality of the German beer was great!

The FOOD is where it's at. Theres a happy hour charcuterie for $19 - not bad for the price! Not pictured is the bratwurst sampler, it was delicious, SO SO GOOOD. then the lamb stroganoff - the sauce, noodles, lamb was such a good balance. I love stroganoff and rarely get it, but this is definitely the spot to get it.

Still a winner. Got some awesome lentil soup. A wedge to die for and of course the pretzel with mustard and beer cheese. Washed it down with an IPA. Great service. Family friendly. Update: They continue to impress. Tried the short ribs and Cesar salad , super yummy.
