Charles Correa Kala Academy in Goa is a historical, architectural, cultural, and social landmark in the country, being the only varied cultural academy that offers western, classical, and modern art courses.
It is among the most pleasant spots to chill out in Panjim. This location has one large theatre. Often, this venue hots events like concerts or other activities. In addition, there is a canteen there, and there is a lovely lawn and lighthouse behind the academy.
It is surrounded by lovely green gardens and is well located on the banks of the Mandavi River.

The open air theatre has plenty of seating capacity and is used by educational institutions to host their cultural programs. A lot of other stage plays are also hosted, including Goa's famous Tiatrs. The campus is built very close to the Mandovi river coast line and towards the back of the building, there is a promenade with benches. With a view of the Mandovi and the wonderful breeze, it's an amazing place to spend the evening. If you're here at the right time, you should be able to see the sunset.

Charles Correa's socially, culturally and historically relevant building in the heart of Panjim. Good accessibility to the place as easy availability of public transportation. But the building is now under renovation..

Really wanted to visit it as it is designed by Ar. Charles Correa. Everything was closed by the time we reached but enjoyed just being in the space. The spaces are open and enhance social interaction. Nice little canteen overlooking the courtyard. There is a walkway behind the campus that offer some great views of the Mandovi River at night. Loved it!

Nice place. It has a great canteen. The lighthouse behind the kala academy is beautiful. The gardens in the academy are well maintained. The pictures were taken at the time of an exhibition, so you may not be able to locate all the places shown in pictures. But if there's an exhibition, you are in for a treat. Must visit, especially if there's any exhibition.
