everything was so yum! this place is known for their variety of hunan noodles. my friend really enjoyed the beef w/ dry noodles and the squid w/ dry noodles. the least spiciest option was mild and that was pretty spicy for us lol. tofu and string beans were such good sides!! the drinks were good and i recommend trying the sour plum tea. it’s definitely an acquired taste. I liked how it had a hint of sweetness and tartness to it but my friend did not like it. last but not least, the cold sweet flower jelly was so good omg, i highly recommend u get that. it had a hint of sweetness, and the soft jelly like texture made it so fun to eat. perfect way to end the meal!

Average place. The noodle quality sucks BUT the rest is tasty. Noodles are $15+
The extra spicy level is definitely spicy enough for someone who likes heat.
Noodles are not made from scratch but they a good variety of options. Dumpling order came with 6 dumplings

Great spot in a very convenient location! Noodle texture was a little too bouncy for my taste, and the spice was decent (would love more flavor though). The service and ambiance was great. Awesome find near Union Square!
delicious food! i found even though mild itself isn’t spicy, if your dish has peppers in it it’ll make it spicy (and they won’t cut down on the peppers even for mild). main con of this place is that they don’t serve water (you HAVE to buy a drink). i have had the hunan beef noodle and pork with preserved veggies (both dry) and they are good.
We were looking for the “regular Chinese food” and we found this place. If you like spicy then this is a good place for you!
The restaurant has a vibe of fast food/take out but is very clean and has a cool design. My wife ordered the noodle chicken soup-mild; I ordered the pork and chicken over rice. Both dishes were very flavorful and with a good spicy kick. Was very enjoyable and a good bow size.
P.S. The restroom was clean.

Very very authentic rice noodles — mb the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had in ny so far. No matter what topping u get, they all has this special taste that makes u know it’s just fresh out stir-fried from the wok.
Strongly recommend the pig trotter one— it’s so hard to get 猪蹄 here in the states ;/// the tofu and pg ears we got are 👍too!

Very tasty, great spice with lots of flavor. I order the stir fried chicken, the beef noodle soup and the spicy squid. The only issue I had was that they gave me the squid over rice and the stir fry over dried noodles and I ordered the opposite. Certainly not a huge deal but would have preferred the stir fry over rice. The beef soup although flavorful to me required the chili oil to get the full flavor. I’d certainly recommend Silky Kitchen.
