Good place to dine out. We went there for team dinner of 30 folks and they were not able to handle well. Had just one bottle in reserve of each option we asked for. Food was served very very slow. Overall a decent place for family dinner. Food was decent.

Recently visited Taftoon, a restaurant in BKC, Mumbai, that celebrates the culinary heritage along the Grand Trunk Road, a homage to travelers and their journeys. The ambiance was pleasant, but the food experience was a mixed bag. While the Lal Chowk Dum Aloo's flavorful char and the melt-in-your-mouth Kandahari Koobideh were highlights, the Chicken Lavash pe Harissa was excessively oily.

For the main course, we opted for the Kashmiri staples, Rishta and Guchhi Pulao. The Rishta, unfortunately, was a major disappointment. The meat was stiff and lacked flavor, falling far short of expectations. The Guchhi Pulao was average.

Considering the high prices and very small portions, the overall experience at Taftoon wasn't satisfying.

GARBAGE FOOD !!!
This place is just as expected an overrated BKC restaurant who just have a good ambience and interior and promising staff who say “sir the food is good ; you will love it etc etc — all that over-smartness attitude to show their extra love towards the customer. The waiter does not have any idea about the quality of food and will only promise that the food is very good and don’t pay if you don’t like it.
1. Paya soup was just full of spices and spicy
2. The chicken starter is a piece of garbage, which cost ₹950. 4 pieces of Small 2x2 inch chicken quoted with unnecessary and uneatble masala.
3. Railway mutton chop - worst decision of people. I told the waiter that the quantity of Mutton is very less in this still he will insist you so please go for it. This is very special. Don’t pay if you don’t like it.2 inch mutton and bone for 1050 rs . Pls burn your money at home results will be better
4. Nalli Nihari costing ₹950. Was just two pieces of Mutton. Its better to eat in mumbai for ₹500/-
5 days frozen food ! Not Juicy literally you can feel its frozen
5. Small 200 ml of a mix of some syrups and cold drink and called a mocktail calling it a big glass

The manager and the guy at the main door have absolutely no idea how a guest feels when he pays ₹5500/- for this and tell that corporate people enjoy. Corporate people can enjoy everything because they want little food with booze .
They dont know mutton chops - I know!
They dont know what to expect from mutton what and which quality and quantity!

Its very sad to see a hotel line go in a way to just mint money and give nothing in name of service.

“ ill speak to the manager and will look into it”
There are people like us who want proper quality and quantity rather than “free desserts” and unnecessary apologies.

As usual BKC is full of over smart and shameless staff who very well know how to handle the customer by saying lines, for example, so I will talk to the manager, sir, let me look into - what will you talk to the manager when the customer is not there? What will the manager do when the money is already received?
Only way to earn money and no happiness at all for the customer . if you want to get your mood pissed off, please visit this place.

Sadly people Today dont know about quality
They are pressed down by the dominance of staffs and management and dont know what juicy , quality food is - all people care is the hype and ambience and OMG its BKC!

Better visit Taj for good food

The food was delicious. The preparations of the food were varied, in keeping with the name of the outlet. They served a great variety from the north to the east
( As mentioned by them... following the Grand Trunk Road from east to north) The breads were special stand outs! The ambience is marked down because it was quite noisy inside the restaurant.
The dessert of jalebi - doodh was fabulous.

The place has North Indian cuisine but not limited to Punjabi. They have dishes from Punjab, Lucknow, West Bengal, Kashmir, Rajasthan and more.
The food is completely new and worth exploring if you are a foodie. The cocktails are good too but a little expensive.

The place is too cramped with tables for a fine dine and the next table is too close for comfort.

This place is definitely worth it if you are a foodie. I wanted to try a lot of dishes but that will be for next time.

The food was very flavourful and tasty specially the starters of Palak Dahi pakodi, teen Miri aloo , paneer tikka with soft yummy paneer and mushrooms. Cocktails were good too. The Khameeri roti needs improvement as it tasted more like a naan which shouldn’t be the case . The major disappointment and disaster was the Kaju malai kulfi. It was not creamy at all and definitely made from milk powder. They really need to improve on their desserts

Had dinner right after the Great Indian Musical, and it was a fitting way to end out evening out!
They have flavourful and delicious dishes, amazing service and wonderful ambience.
My review would have been 3 stars if not for Mr. Raut who ensured we received our order on time and we’re properly serviced as well.

The hotel really needs to consider hiring more people. The service we got was amazing but it was clear that they all were overworked and handling too much.

I had the pleasure of dining at Taftoon Bar & Kitchen land it was an experience I'll never forget! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The ambiance was perfect - just the right balance of elegance and comfort. And the food...oh my goodness, the food! Every dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I especially loved the devils chat - it was simply divine! I also appreciated the thoughtful wine pairing suggestions from our server. Overall, I can't recommend Taftoon Bar & Kitchen enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place to be!"
