Nice serene place inside Ridge forest.
Seems like a small old building in the pattern of a resthouse haveli.
Place is well maintained & clean.
Next its upto us citizens to keep it clean and calm.
Ridge area is always cooler than rest of Delhi by 4-5°C, so it feels great for a morning run here.

This is a false rumour spread by people. I have not experienced anything that can make me say that this is a haunted place. I talked to a local boy here and he is saying that there is no such thing, this is a lie. I keep coming and going from here at 2:00 in the night

Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is the name given to a 14th century shikargah or hunting lodge built by the Delhi Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq. Almost nothing is known of this small complex except for this fact; it’s not even clear why it’s called that, though some believe that it drew its name from a local saint called Bu Ali Bhatti. Other folk legends have it that Firoz Shah Tughlaq fell in love with a local woman from the Bhatiyar caste whom he first met in the vicinity of this lodge, and for whom he later converted the lodge into a palace.

The place lies down a dirt road going off to the left shortly after the Hanuman Mandir at Jhandewalan. Cars or motorbikes can go right up to the building, though it’s also easily walkable—it took us less than 5 minutes to walk, and if you’re interested in nature, it’s a pleasant walk, with the forest all around.

The mahal was locked when we arrived, but the guard came after a few minutes and opened the gate to allow us to have a look. Inside, it’s just a large yard, with some shallow rooms worked into the thick walls here and there. At one end, a flight of steps leads upwards to a terrace that (according to the guard) once housed the palace, but now has nothing except a few small trees.

No entry fee is charged for Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal. Interestingly, it’s reputed to be one of the most haunted places in Delhi!

Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal is a captivating testament to Delhi's rich history tucked away amidst the bustling cityscape. Stepping into its ancient corridors feels like entering a time capsule, transporting you to another era. The mysterious aura surrounding the palace adds to its allure, leaving visitors intrigued about its storied past.

Despite its modest size, the architectural details and the tranquil ambiance make it a fascinating destination for history enthusiasts and curious wanderers alike. Exploring the ruins, one can't help but marvel at the craftsmanship of its intricate carvings and the resilience of its weathered walls.

Situated near Karol Bagh neighbourhood in Delhi, Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is a ruined fort cum gateway structure that was originally built as a hunting lodge by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in the 14th century. Reverberating with an eerie silence and a spooky ambiance, the fort is infamous for its haunted stories and tales of paranormal activity that may be witnessed here, especially during the nights. To top that, there are no locks or chains on the gate but only a warning sign that says not to come here after sunset.

Nestled in between a dense forest, the monument is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Surrounded by lush greenery and cooing of peacocks, there is not a lot to explore in the monument except two courtyards and few dilapidated rooms. However, the place is still a curious attraction and every day a lot of youngsters come here to explore the place and to verify the haunted tales. During the day time, you can also find a guard here who can satiate your curiosity.

Bhuli Bhatyari ka Mahal offers a captivating journey through Delhi’s history, with its enchanting architecture and serene surroundings. The secluded location adds an air of mystery and intrigue, making it an ideal spot for an offbeat exploration. Nonetheless, the need for better upkeep and more informative signage could enhance the overall visitor experience. Despite this, it remains a remarkable destination for history buffs and nature lovers alike.

Some saaaay things go bump in the night here 👻🧟👹

Others saaaaaay this is just a random centuries old ruin hiding in a quite lush and beautiful park hidden away from the craziness of Delhi 🌳🎋🌴

All we know for suuuure is the remains of this 14th-century royal
hunting lodge and walled off courtyard are locked up tight as a drum after sunset 🌇🔐👮

Reportedly these grounds are to be haunted... Even quite possibly cursed 🧙‍♂️🎱🪄💀⚰️🥀

All I'm saaaaaaaaying is this place is quite lovely to explore and there are plenty of super nice lil street pups to love on 🐕💗🐶🌌🐾🥳

As per rumours this is haunted but in reality it's not. If you're looking for a clean, peaceful location in Delhi then you definitely need to visit here. Very beautiful Jungle with various photographic locations. Me and my friend search every corner but can't find the queen there🤣🤣🤣
