Great collection of Asian art pieces. The exhibition is currently in parts subject to change. It is, however, still an excellent experience. Artefacts are carefully selected and displayed thematically. I was really impressed by the japanese, chinese and indian parts of the collection.
The tour was fantastic! Thorough history of all exhibits. The light was low.
This free part of the museum was set up really nicely. We were impressed by the size and amount of items to see for free. We loved that it explained different parts of asian culture throughout the continent. The social aspect of many pieces was really interesting to experience.
Definitely recommend the whole humboldt forum.
We would like to state to please keep your distance from the art pieces, for the alarm went off so many times because people were standing too close. We felt bad for the staff.

This place is part of the Humboldt Forum, here you will find four major sections, one for Africa, one for Asia, one for Oceania and the other for America, also in between they show other countries.
I was shocked at first when I saw the place for the first time. I came here thinking i was going to appreciate the Asian Arts Museum only and found out more things, more sections. This place is magical, and best of all, ITS FREE.
They have every last Sunday of the month a Tea Ceremony in the Japanese section, so if you would like to see one, go to their website and check the dates. I'm definitely going again.

One of the free to visit museums in Humboldt Forum. It has many different collections from Chian, Japan, and many more. Although some of the artefacts are just reproduction, it's great to know the history behind those. The museum is quite big, people can definitely spend hours here.
If you look out the window, you can see not only the beautiful architecture of the building itself, but also the classic TV Tower and Museum Island.
