The Ring in Montreal is halfway between an art sculpture and a landmark. Recently commissioned and built to attract people, it is located at the heart of Montreal's business center. Seeing it on the news, it looked ridiculous, but I'm not going to lie, it's actually not bad in person. It's worth stopping by for photos. The design is intriguing and makes for an interesting addition to the city's landscape. Despite initial skepticism, it has a certain charm when seen up close.

Fun fact : The Architect was also the designer for the famed Pink Balls in the village . The C- RiNG was erected during a national emergency… where all of us where jobless some of us became homeless . To me a representation of how far removed city & gov authorities treat Mtl citizens…. enjoy the big RING!

It's a big ring. It frames le mont royal nicely, especially at night. Pretty to walk by.

As specially it's looks colorful at night. It's a cool place to take pictures, I loved the architecture of the place which connects with the RBC Building, the winter decorations add more live to this plaza.

A big O, or a ring, as some people call it located in-between two buildings.
During this month there's lit polar bears that complement the sculpture/art work. At other times, there are others.
Located in a nice large open area, this it's nicely placed. You can see the O from afar.

As the name suggests, it’s a big ring with a better view at night. Occasionally, a few events happen in the open space nearby.

I’ve seen lots of cool art around the world but in my opinion this one falls way short. It’s an unnecessary, not creative add. Yes it has the potential of some cool photos as it’s a “giant circle” but aside from that not much. The 5 million reportedly spent here could have been better spent off elsewhere or even used to create something more creative that would have people buzzing of how nice it is, not how dull.
