Definitely worth the membership, I got one and my infant turned toddler son gets in for free. It's a nice outing in the morning before a nap to tire him out. He loves to walk and is interested in the animals. We arrived 10am on a Friday and there was lots of parking, no wait and no crowds.

A pretty small place (in such a big city) with fewer animals than expected. The train ride was fun, thanks to the loco pilot with a fun personality. Most memorable? Being up close and personal with wallabies and witnessing a peacock making a beeline for the ice cream shop. An eye-opening experience for our kid so admission ticket and parking prices are inconsequential.

For $69 for two people, I would’ve expected to see a lot more animals. No alligators, no monkeys, no elephants. Couldn’t seem to find the cheetahs or zebras. Luckily I got to see some giraffes near the end of our visit as they were hiding at first. This zoo has the potential to be amazing. From the size and grand entrance. It just seems understaffed and underfunded. Which sucks because this would be a great place to go to with family and friends. Who doesn’t love to see a variety of exotic animals ? My recommendation would be to add more animals. Add maybe a petting zoo area. My girlfriends kid however was in awe of the dinosaur exhibit which was pretty cool. I just think for the price there should be more animals to see. Also at the concession stand to the left of the entrance there seems to be a wasp problem as both me my girlfriend and her kid in his stroller were swarmed by bees suddenly after cracking open a root beer and opening a bag of mini donuts. We proceeded to run to get away. Other than that, it was a nice day out and the layout of the zoo is nice for some exercise while seeing some animals.

10km of fun. I highly recommend to buy the tickets online to avoid lines, and start with the train, walking after seeing all around. The talks about the animals are awesome and we can see the instructors feeding them. Clean, safe, beautiful and big zoo. Must to go.

Lots of paid parking and pay online with a bar code. Nice and easy.
Pd at the gate and not given any instructions or a map. We only saw 2 on-site maps to read to find our location and are next direction, and that was disappointing.
Highly recommend taking the train. You will miss a few pens/animals, but it is approximately 10,000 steps to walk the park. Small kids and some adults find the walk too much.
Lots of animals and kids really enjoyed it.
Bought the mini donuts 🍩 and only 7 in the bag! Don't buy them, overpriced for what you get and not that fresh.
Great day out, took us 3 hours

Always loved this zoo. Lots of beautiful creatures to see. And the staff is really kind and knowledgeable. Love hearing the story about Boomer the lion. Also the two white lions, brother and sister, are super sweet together.
Definitely considering getting the membership pass so I can visit throughout the year.

It wasn't a busy day and it felt kind of boring. There wasn't much animals seen. I felt like we paid too much and our expectation was too high. The Calgary Zoo was much more worth it and you can see it was well-maintained. I hope someday the zoo will improve.

The zoo was so much fun! We came on a Wednesday and had no wait. We did purchase our tickets ahead of time.

The workers were very friendly and even got animals attention and brought them over right up to where we were standing.

They had this cool motion detecting dinosaur area. My kids loved it and kept asking to ho back.

Food was good. The prices were fair. About $10-14 per meal. And $8 for kids meals. It was good.

We went on the train ride and it was about 12 minutes long. But we went through the entire zoo.

They had a very fun playground for the kids.

To be expected. kinda sad, kinda cool. It was really hot so the big cool kitty's were no where to be seen and every animal was hiding in some sort of shade. There was triplet orphan grizzly cubs and one was extremely stressed from everything and was pacing for the whole time we were there. Gift shop was good, definitely recommend renting a bike due too lots of walking.

Really like this zoo! We will come again. It is a lot flatter than most other zoos I've been to, which is great for strollers walking with kids! We enjoyed all the animals as well as how close you can get to the animals. The Dino exhibit and train were perfect for our 4 year old!
