Awesome walk on the beach with my dog. The parking lot is huge. The stairs down to the beach were a bit steep with several levels down. The water was beautiful and clear! Not many shells but lots of colorful stones and rocks. We'll be back.
Beautiful park! Beautiful clean parks, picturesque landscapes and sunrises/sunsets.
We stopped here to see the 3 Sisters and the Nauset Lighthouse. We parked by the 3 Sisters and walked the short 1/3 mile to the Nauset Light. It is a beautiful area.
This is a great place to visit. There are two main visitor centers and a fantastic beach at the top.
Salt pond is a large visitor center and has a lot of info. There is a great walk around the salt pond which eventually leads down to the beach. Province lands is the other one but its more the Old Harbor Life-Saving Station Museum that is worth a visit. This also has a fantastic beach.
If you are going to Cape Cod, its well worth stopping here. It has a lot of history and you can see how people used to live here. The staff are also very helpful. The beach is also really nice; you can walk right round to Race Point Lighthouse and you can see right across to Boston. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

This is a nice National Seashore. I went here over Easter and was satisfied with my experience. Cape Cod’s shore is filled with lighthouses and beaches, the best of which are located near Provincetown. The first place I went to was the Chatham lighthouse at the south end of Cape Cod, which looks quite nice. This small lighthouse is located next to a beautiful beach with a barrier island. After this I went to Nauset Lighthouse, a red and white lighthouse that’s featured on Cape Cod Chip bags. This was a beautiful lighthouse, and there’s a nice view of the ocean from here. After this I went to the nearby Three Sisters lighthouses, three small lighthouses that were moved away from the ocean so they wouldn’t be eroded away. After seeing these I went to the Highland Lighthouse, the tallest on Cape Cod. In the summer you’re able to go to the top of it. There’s a splendid vista of the ocean at the lighthouse. After this I went to Race Point beach, a large sandy beach with a lighthouse I didn’t see and a sea rescuer museum open during summer. After this I walked on the Provincetown Dunes, which are approximately 100 foot tall sand dunes. After this I did my favorite thing in Cape acid. I walked to the Wood End lighthouse. This is a small lighthouse located on an isolated peninsula, and the way to get there is to walk on a causeway across water that is inaccessible at high tide. I gave this National Seashore five stars because it has some nice beaches, lighthouses and really nice sand dunes.
Very nice beach Went there on the off-season. I'm sure to be busy in the peak season.
We went to the dunes, and it was an incredible experience! Definitely not for those who don't exercise regularly!
I had an incredible time at Cape Cod National Seashore, truly a gem of the Massachusetts area. This place offers the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement. From fishing adventures to vibrant nightlife with numerous bars and an abundance of delicious seafood options, it was a memorable experience. I did miss out on a ferry ride and dolphin watching due to not securing tickets in advance, but that's a lesson learned for my next visit. If you're in the Boston area, the drive isn't too far, making it an ideal weekend getaway destination. I can't wait to return and explore more!
I love the Cape cod national seashore and the fact that I've been coming here for close to 50 years and nothing changes. Everything from Provincetown to Hyannis remains genuine New England. All those fast food and hamburger places stay on the mainland where they belong. Herring cove Beach is without a doubt the most beautiful and interesting beach I have seen in my life.
My family and I visited the Cape Cod National Seashore last weekend and had a wonderful time. The park is a beautiful place to enjoy nature and relax. We brought our dog with us, and he had a blast running on the beach, digging in the sand, and chasing the waves. He was very well-behaved, and we made sure to follow the park rules for pets.
We also saw some fantastic wildlife at the seashore. We spotted several harbor seals swimming in the water near the shore. They were so cute and playful, and we could hear them making noises. We learned that harbor seals are one of the most common marine mammals in Cape Cod and can grow up to six feet long and weigh up to 300 pounds. We also saw some birds, such as gulls, terns, and cormorants, flying overhead or resting on the rocks.
The weather was overcast that day, but it did not ruin our mood. The temperature was comfortable, and the breeze was refreshing. We did not mind the clouds because they made the scenery more dramatic and mysterious. We photographed the ocean, the dunes, and the lighthouse. The colors were stunning, and we captured some beautiful moments.
We had a great time at the Cape Cod National Seashore and highly recommended it to anyone who loves nature, history, and adventure. It is a place to escape everyday stress and reconnect with yourself and your loved ones. We will come back again soon.

the waves were rough and the rocks hurt coming at you but it was beautiful the sand was soft and we got to see a bunch of seals!! it was a perfect day!
Beautiful beach. The waves are incredible. Sand is nice. You could walk for miles. Parking at certain areas with shuttle access to beach boardwalk. Dogs are allowed on leash or otherwise off lease past sign north of life guard section on coast guard each. Great view of seals swimming off shore
We enjoyed walking on the beach and seeing all the seals. The lighthouses are nice to visit as well. Iconic Cape Cod / New England. Don't forget to walk to see the "three sisters" (three white lighthouses).
