This is my favorite place to go swimming around Munich. It feels so natural and calm, and it's stunningly beautiful at sunset. Few mins walk is the beach bar, where one can buy drinks and eat.
It's nice to go there by car or bike - around one hour cycling from Munichs central part.

Enjoyed a hot summer day with friends & family! Calm settings and perfect for a few hours or the whole day. Swim, paddle or just waddle! Parking was easy but, may seem unregulated as some park on grass. Trails to and from are dirt and gravel. But it's easy to walk or wheelchair. You can take short walk to Oberschleißheim Regatta Course and the Beach Club, which was closed on my visit.
Trees line the lake so shade is available.
I do recommend "water shoes" but definitely not needed to enjoy. Beach blanket and or chairs. If with a family & kids, then a cart would be helpful to bring your gear. Have fun and explore!

Fresh air, best for meditation
This is a real hidden gem. Perfect distance for a bike ride out of the city, stop have a picnic and a swim... clothing optional 😄
Gets a little busier at the weekends but in my opinion much nicer to spend time here than at the regatta rowing lake.
