The sculpture of Spinoza is fairly simple showing the head and face of Spinoza, while the rest of his body is fully covered with a cloak. The cloak has patterns of parakeets and roses symbolising the multiculturalism of Dutch society and a reference to Spinoza which means thorn in Portuguese.
