Portable public restroom

UPDATE 7/24/2023: The bathroom is no longer blue. It has been replaced by a, grey port-a-potty. No leg room + poop caked on seat. Seat isn't as comfortable. No AC. Steamy in summer.

Absolutely fantastic experience.

Firstly, the toilet had no water in it. At first, this sounds like a drawback but it is a genius idea. No backsplash.

Second, the smell encourages you to go about your business quickly.

Third, you'll get the occasional rogue squirrel/possum so you don't have to suffer on the toilet alone.

Overall: I now prefer this bathroom over the one in my home. I will be frequenting more often. Thank you NPS.

I recently visited Miller Field and made use of their portable public restroom. While it served its purpose, there are a few things that could definitely be improved.

Firstly, the cleanliness of the restroom left something to be desired. It seemed as if it was rarely cleaned, and this fact was quite evident when using the facilities. The smell was quite strong, and there were visible signs of dirt and grime in the corners.

One of the main issues with the portable restroom being owned by a federal park is that it can be difficult to find someone to address your concerns with. The lack of a clear point of contact for complaints and maintenance requests means that any issues you may have could go unresolved for quite some time.

That being said, the restroom was functional and did its job in a pinch. In a setting like Miller Field, it's nice to have access to a public restroom, even if it's not the cleanest or most well-maintained.

In conclusion, the Miller Field portable public restroom is a passable option when nature calls during your visit, but don't expect a spotless or well-maintained facility. If you can tolerate the less-than-ideal cleanliness, it's a decent enough solution in a bind.
