Only ventured as far as the lower and upper play area with my 6 year.
Lots of fun though.
Definitely going back to have a wander around the rest if the park

Despite living locally I had never visited this park which is a shame as its excellent

The outstanding aspect is the nature trail through a deep valley. We visited early one warm and sunny morning and were rewarded with lots of bird song including a distant woodpecker. I suspect we only covered a small part of the park itself so a return is in order

Two negatives. There is no obvious car park and street parking is limited. Tesco is close so I suspect people may park there.
Second there was a fun fare in the main park and the council had provided portable toilets. Unfortunately one had been overturned or had overflowed, either way the contentv had spilled down a major pathway. Hopefully just a blip

Lovely and well preserved park. A haven for those who love some quiet time. Songs of birds serenading the air. Good for kids and animal lovers too.

One of Tamesides hidden gems. The main entrance has 2 big open spaces for ball games etc. A young children's play area with a gated sand pit and further up the hill an older children's play area with climbing frames.
But the best bit is the public orchard at the top of the hill and the wildlife sanctuary plus a plethora of wild walking paths.
Popular with dog walkers (please pick up your dogs waste) and families alike. A good stroll around Cheathams will get the heart pumping and is a joy for the eye. 10/10.

Gorgeous place, pictures and videos don't do the size of the park justice, go and visit!

Everything you need for weekend's walk, picnic or time with kids. Plenty of trees, walk tracks, small water reservoir, play areas.

A lovely green space for families, dog walkers, teenagers, there is a children's park, an older 'monkey' park, it meanders up to the bird sanctuary. Unfortunately no public toilets.
