Hamburg Airport (Flughafen)

A nice Airport with good connection to proceed downtown. But I think it exist an issue organising the luggage. Wasn‘t the first time waited long time on my luggage. Today nearly 45 minutes - all belts! Too few employees to do the job? Answer found in the underground railway: searching for employees😬 Hope refugees are short term allowed to start working and find their first job there.

A horrible mess of an airport with the rudest staff at the security check that we have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Worse than at any other European airport we've been to.
If you need assistance or information regarding anything, good luck to you, because the only "information point" desk of the airport itself is never occupied. The same goes for the airline "EasyJet": no human seems to work for them at this airport.
Fly from or to Hannover or Bremen instead if you can.

The baggage situation at the airport is awful, come in via train instead, or fly via Bremen and ride the bus. That’s much easier in my experience. We got home 2 hours later than we should have because of their in ability to load and unload the luggage on the plane. Our incoming flight from Munich was delayed by an hour because according to the captain ‘there weren’t enough baggage handlers at the Hamburg airport’ on the leg before our to load the bags in a reasonable time. Then when we got to Hamburg we waited over an hour for checked bag.

One of the worst airports I have been to, waiting time for security check is 2hrs. These people do not care about their customers at all, we are among hundreds of people waiting and there are only 4 security checks working. This is outrageous, we are going to miss the flight just because airport hamburg has no capacity to serve us. What a joke. German Ordnung at it's best

This is the only country that still haven't managed to hire more than one person for a gate.. I hate Germany so much. My advice is to arrive here an hour earlier than you usually do

Not so comfy for pasengers. Have to wait too long for tax free staff infront of tax free desk. There is no smoking area after passport control. Not good.

Simple and straightforward airport to travel through with good quality connections to the city centre and other locations via train and bus without elevated 'express' ticket costs.

Some staff are not particularly helpful (but this is more the exception than the norm) and if you are not visibly German European, you may find it more challenging to get help or basic patience or help.

Generally a good airport and easy to use.

Open early in the morning 04:00 was already operational.👍👍👍

In September again at the security queues of 60min. is probably due to the fact that from each side Terminal 1 or 2, about 1000 people stand and on each side only 2 checks + 1 fastcheck were open👎👎👎👎
Poor service typical for Germany

The evening before luggage check in at the vending machine, the whole thing took less than 5min.👍👍👍

Person control went despite many travelers quite quickly about 20min., this time the staff was quite friendly.👍👍
The loudspeaker announcements are still difficult to understand👍
The prices at the airport are quite high, for drinks and small snacks

Parking places alot but the price unbelievable high.🙈👎👎
