AMZ Transit

On 24 October 2023 I hired and paid for the services of AMZ Transit, and it was the worst decision I have ever made in my business.

The hiring process and pre-contract follow up with them was flawless. They were quick to respond to emails, the documents they sent were well written and nothing foreshadowed what would happen next.

Once I made the payment, everything changed.

Caroline and Don were the AMZ Transit agents who were supposed to organise the transport of the goods I was to send from China to Europe.

For a whole week after I made the payment, I received no response from them.

The cargo to be transported by this company was ready on 8 November.

After countless emails to Caroline and Don asking for explanations as to why no one was picking up the cargo, their answers were always the same: "transport will be tomorrow". This never happened, and eventually they stopped replying to me.

At this point, I searched the internet for all the emails I could find from AMZ Transit and emailed all of them trying to get an explanation of what was going on. It wasn't until December 1st that I received a call from Mr. Miller. He informed me that no one had organised the transport of my goods and that they could refund my money if I wanted. Faced with the prospect of losing the money I had paid them, I was even relieved.

Even with the refund of the money I paid for the transport that they never carried out, the damage this company has caused me is enormous.

I had to hire another carrier more than a month after the goods were ready. Obviously, as it was close to Christmas, this transport was more expensive. In addition, AMZ Transit's breach of contract meant that my goods did not arrive in time for the Christmas campaign, causing me to miss out on the biggest revenue period of the year for my company. In addition, the new ship had to take the route around Africa instead of through the Suez Canal. In conclusion, the 35-day shipment that was due to arrive on 15 December will arrive on 10 February.

As a word of advice, if you want peace of mind and security for your international shipments, stay away from AMZ Transit.

I would give 10 stars if I could! AMZ Transit is the real deal. Customer service 10 out of 10. Don has gone over and beyond leaving no stones unturned to find the best solutions to my company’s needs. Dealing with international shipping on a larger scale for the first time is a daunting experience, but AMZ’s knowledge and expertise was the calm to the storm. Don literally worked beyond operating hours to help us during an emergency dilemma. As a small business owner looking to expand and grow, these are the kind of people you want on your team. Thank you AMZ and I look forward to working with you all again.
