The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience

The actual maze itself was brilliant. I booked it for my boyfriend’s birthday with 4 friends and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Our maze master, Atlas, was great. She was so enthusiastic and helpful and fun to work with!

The only slight letdowns were outside of the maze: some of the hosts didn’t come across as friendly as others and there was confusion over what photo package we were getting. We felt we didn’t see all the photos that had been taken in the maze itself and thought we’d be able to see all photos online.

All in all, it was a fantastic couple of hours and would recommend to anyone!

A bittersweet experience. Our timeslot was 3:30pm and we were advised to arrive in plenty of time, which we did. We were then told we wouldn't be entering until 5pm, with no reason or apologies given. We had to run back to our cars to extend our parking and pay for longer.

We had paid upwards of £70 each for premium tickets. Our photos were given to us at the end, but that was it. The website advertises premium tickets as "take home a piece of the crystal maze, includes souvenir photo and exclusive gift". We were expecting to take home a crystal each, but all we were offered was a free drink from the counter in the lobby. We also weren't given the bomber jacket photo opportunity, the jackets were given to us. Considering we had paid £70+ each, the experience we got was no where near worth paying for the "extras."

This is a massive shame, as the game itself was really fun and looked brilliant. The presentation was perfect, the different areas looked cool, and running between the areas with the Crystal Maze music blasting gets you amped up for the challenges. Our games master was funny and wanted us to win. The challenges were clever and varied.

Visited on 22/06/24 for my sister's hen party and we all had a great time. Magpie was an amazing host and the games were great! Would definitely recommend doing this and it's suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities too. Was a really great way to start our day of celebrating. Thank you

I've never looked forward to something so much, the excitement was unreal and the crystal maze experience delivered on every level. One of my favourite TV shows ever, and I literally felt this I was on the TV show! Fantastic experience, staff were amazing and the rooms/ challenges awesome. Will be going back and recommend people to go even if you haven't seen the TV show. We have some of our team from Denmark/ Sweden over and they enjoyed ever minute! If you love the hut TV show, then this is a real treat. Played with up to 8 players, games are played across the 4 zones like on the TV show including industrial, aztec, futuristic and medieval. Great set of games to test mental, mystery, skill and physical. Personally, I loved the physical games! But a brilliant experience for team building as its all about working together to win crystals. Each worth 5 seconds in the crystal dome where unlike the gold and silver tokens, here they all count. A member of the team takes you round, although I was hoping for a bald headed chap. She was amazing and really made the experience fun and enjoyable.

It's quite expensive per head, though I can see why that is the case given the amount of thought into the experience. Only downside is that no phones or cameras allowed, That is partly so they can sell you some treasured photos at the end as an add on. Also I wished to try all the games!

Save up and go for this treat as you won't be disappointed.

The areas were just like on the TV show, the challenges were great fun and 'Barry the Miner' (who accompanied us) was friendly and made the experience better.

From our arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Would recommend this experience (whether you've seen the TV show or not). Two out of the four of us have completed many "escape room" experiences, they said the Crystal Maze was much better.
For the two of us who have done neither, we just had a great time.
If you're in Manchester, go and have a challenging, fun packed time.

This place absolutely exceeded my expectations!

From start to finish it was incredible.
Everything was explained thoroughly, we were made to feel welcome, we were hyped up for our challenges.

And the place itself was just unbelievable. It's just like the TV show. The sets are perfect, the challenges were great and you get to go in the Crystal dome!

We even got our photos for free. It was an absolutely incredible day.

Selfie Steve was our host and he was brilliant, he gave so much encouragement and really hyped us up.

You go in groups of 8, so if there's less than that in your group you might be placed with other people.
I believe it's suitable for over 9s, but they have to accompanied by an adult.

There's a place to get drinks, but no food.

It can be physically challenging, so keep that in mind when booking.

Absolutely brilliant day out for everyone!

Ok! So we’ve all seen it on TV and all thought I’d love to do this! Well now you can! And would you believe it, in the actual real setting! Not a replica, but the real deal! Absolutely incredible! Childhood memories come to life. We were initially going to go next door (Chaos Karts) but the reviews are not great at all and the time you get on track is not worth your money!
The Crystal Maze Experience 💎 is AMAZING. We went with 2 teams (16 players) and it was just brilliant! You get around 75 minutes play. Approximately 2 games each but it’s great to support your members when their doing their tasks…and then the BIG dome at the end! Oh My Gosh! The excitement was unreal! 🤣
A great activity. 💯 worth it. 💯 worth the money. The guides were incredible, they play their roles very well! If you’re looking for a stag/Hen idea or a weekend in Manchester this is a must!
