We bought the ticket, mistakenly thinking that we would visit the St Mark's bell tower. That being said, we weren't disappointed. The guide was lovely and patient. The view from the top is marvelous. Highly recommend.
The Clock Tower in Venice is a captivating symbol of the city's rich history. Its intricate design and striking clock mechanism are truly remarkable. Climbing to the top rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of Venice. A must-visit attraction that takes you back in time and leaves you in awe.
Definitely go onto the website and book the tour! I wasn't expecting such a great rooftop view, it was such a treat. You collect the tickets at the Correr office, if you go up and ask them for the ticket they'll give it to you and tell you to wait in the hallway for your guide to arrive.
Brilliant visit!
Really exciting to climb inside this wonderful clock tower.

We booked online (15 Euros) to visit the clock tower. There are 132 steps to climb, and it was not difficult to ascend. There are some spiral staircases, with the uppermost one being extremely tight. Get up that tight staircase and you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of Venice. The bells ring every hour and not exactly at the hour mark. The sound of the bell are very loud. So be careful and protect your ears with ear plugs if required.
We booked a tour to enter the clock tower. Collect your tickets at the ticket office of the Correr Museum. Arrive at the museum early because in order to get to the ticket office, you have to pass through security and bag check, which could take a while. We planned our day to visit the museum before the tour so that we didn’t have to worry about queuing up for the security check.
Our guide, Aga, had a good sense of humour. There are 132 steps to climb, but we stopped at each level to learn about the history, so it was not difficult to ascend. Beautiful views. We were there at 18:30 and the tower bells started banging loudly, which was fun to witness but definitely not for people who are sensitive to loud noises.
