Most of the food was good but for a place that calls themselves “Szechuan,” there was nothing about the taste that was authentically so. Very mild and super salty food. I do not recommend their spicy dishes at all.
The food was well prepared and so flavorful. Very nice to sit outside with good service. We had the scallion pancakea, cold sesame noodles, general tso chicken and bok choy. Large portions and not swimming in sugar or salt.
Ordered lobster fried rice for $24 , once I got home and opened the container what I saw was clumpy white rice with literally little to no lobster neither did it look like fried rice ??? I called the restaurant and spoke to the same person who took my order , I proceeded to tell her that I just paid $24 for lobster fries rice with little to no lobster in clumpy white rice !! Her response was yes SORRY !! Please avoid ordering lobster fried rice .
I have been eating Chinese food all my life – really! Everyone has their favorite place and when my friend insisted we try hers I was not eager but Mazu did impress. This is a cut above the rest. The dishes are elegant and each one is special. It is like having Chinese food for the very first time. The staff is friendly and ask about food preferences/restrictions and happy to tailor the meal accordingly. I want to go back and try each dish. I think that is the highest compliment.
What an amazing delight !!!! Tried the bottomless brunch -- and it was cheaper than all others ! But beyond that -- we couldn't even drink anymore than was provided without even asking ! Let's talk about the food !!!!! I have to return for every item on the menu. I hate even writing about this -- because I hate people overcrowding me -- Hahah. This is the hidden gem in our neighborhood !!!! Best service ever to boot !!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
A nice find is Murray Hill, can see from the pics spiciness of the dishes and good portion sizes. Came out of the kitchen quick and hot. Chong chin chicken crispy and tender inside, got heat but not overloaded with crazy amount of pepper. String beans fresh and unwrinkled. Service was good except for a bit of lull in the middle of the meal. Place is clean and well decorated, give it a try with friends.
My favorite Chinese restaurant!!!!! The best lychee martinis! Amazing staff. Our server/bartender Amy was so knowledgeable. Every dish we ordered was perfect. The food is so delicious, I can’t wait to go back. Thank you.
Fantastic authentic Chinese food! I grew up eating Sichuan food at home and the dishes here reminded me of what my mom used to make. Our servers were very attentive and provided prompt and friendly service, I would highly recommend stopping by for authentic Chinese food!
