Capt Josh worked hard to drift us over fluke. The mates were on it all day, fast as a flash, and teaching you the techniques. The gallay is unmatched in the NYC area fishing. You don't have to bring food. The boat is CLEAN, you can bring your family. Been fishing the area 30 years ( probably 40 ha ha) get it while it lasts.
Great crew and Captain! They got on fish despite less than ideal conditions (wind and rolls). Very knowledgeable and friendly mates. Despite being a relative novice, I appreciated the customers as well... everyone was there to fish, and Gypsea found em!
Very good food on board. Very friendly staff. Chef Big Jay on the grill and his son little Jay very respectful. Fishing now. Will leave another review.
Amazing day with a captain Who is dedicated to making sure we find fish the crew was attentive, helpful, and couldn't have done more to make our day on the water. Amazing. There is no boat like this in New Jersey, New York or Long Island. This is the premier party fishing boat. Great to see a young crew with such amazing customer service
Best party you can you can find! It’s been very rare that Josh hasn’t sent us home with a full limit. Everyone in the boat treats you like family. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Mike and Jess are always eager to help out while big j and little j make sure your fed, I mean jerk chicken from a boat galley is a nice touch.
Never had a bad day on the Gypsea. Great Capt and mates. Best Fluke and Striper boat in NY, hands down. Great for family/kids as well as hard-core fishermen. It's a party/head boat but it feels like a private charter because the crew and regulars treat everyone like friends. Everyone I ever brought on this boat said it was one of the best trips they've ever been on. They limit the number of customers on each trip so it's never packed, you always have plenty of room to fish.
Gypsea Fishing Charters is by far the best party boat I've ever been on. The boat is clean, the crew is friendly and knowledgeable and they will always do their very best to find you fish (and they WILL find you fish)! Josh & Jess are so dedicated to what they do and you can tell they are passionate and truly care about making sure everyone (experienced anglers or novices) is having a good time AND catching fish. I've been on this boat many times and can't wait for the next trip!
I had a Fantastic day i limited out on Fluke(4).. Also had 2 killer Sea Bass. a Porgy. & a couple of By Catch Sea Robins.. I couldn't have asked 4 a better day. Capt Josh sure put us on the Meat Today. Mates Jess & lil J were the best.. Always there when needed.. Thank You cant wait 4 my Next trip. Hope its ad Good as Todays
