Always an assortment of lovely birds. Wonderful dogs always walking by, friendly people. Beautiful scenery.

It really is the old mill pond. I often see wildlife there, as well as folks enjoying the air & the lovely scenery. Geese, ducks, cormorants, sparrow hawks, crowd & ravens, etc. There's a shady pavilion where people can relax & cool off. One summer during the hot weather the carp that seem to live in the pond were rising to the surface, sort of slowly swimming. Many of them were about 20-28 inches. Some had colors like goldfish. Perhaps they are escapees, or were released by erstwhile aquarists... Amazing!

Very educational signing sites around the actual mill pond with imformation about the history of the site. Pleasant gazebo on the residential part of mill pond. Rand Train station with a regatta style RC sail boat pond.

Very nice neighborhood, older community but very lovely. It sits on the Columbia River waterfront in beautiful Astoria, has a great local grocery Astoria co-op.

A great place for a stroll. Flat terrain, nice people, lots to see. The river, ships and big cloudy skys. I love to have one of the home they are newly building.

I lived there for a while but now they're actually building homes on the water on cement posts and taking the great view away from most of the other homes who knew they could sell the property at the bottom of the pond and build-out huge homes in the water

Beautiful area to walk. Lovely scenery as well. Beautiful homes in the area with incredible views.

Maje sure your dog is on a leash. Interesting history, and right next to the riverwalk where you can catch the trolley into town when it passes by. Some beautiful fowl come to rest here, lots of good photo ops of some magnificent species.
