Thought this was a very informative museum covering the history of witch trials and turmoil in Salem. Thoughtfully put together and very sad to think of all the damage a rumor and certain beliefs can spark. I loved my visit here! Only comment - traffic is tricky year round. We almost gave up, but are so glad we didn't!
I loved going here. Artifacts vvere neatly displayed and put in a vvay so that traffic flowed smoothly, but the layout and furniture felt like someone could still live it.
I talked to Carl, who was insanely knowledgeable. He respectfully answered my questions about Salem, the house, the victims, and Pilgrim-Indian relations. I could talk his ear off!
The house is a little cramped, especially within the gift shop and there are a steep set of stairs. These things can not change for obvious reasons. You can't put an elevator in a 400 year old house, but a notifying sign outside would be nice. :D

A great day out to Salem! This is the best museum, suitable for families. I recommend pre-booking and also hopping onto the old tram tour around Salem
Very fun little museum to visit! $12 admission, lots of fun artifacts and to see what the rich of the rich lived like in early Salem days. It was the house of rich businessmen John Corwin circa 1692, who was responsible for the death of 25 people during the witch trials!
I loved everything about this town and this house did not disappoint! The history in this town is very interesting. The house sits on the corner of a main road in downtown Salem. There is a gift shop behind the house. Can purchase tickets at the house or online.
This is a self guided tour. They do have people there that can answer your questions you may have. It is small for the size of the house. However your money does go to preserving the house.
Iconic spot but unless you’re a massive history buff, you may just be able to visit the building exterior for free and avoid the admission to go inside. Should you choose to visit the interior, it’s a self-guided tour with lots of signs and info. Really interesting spot!
Very cool place to visit for any history buff! It is very small but there was not a lot of people when I visited (February). The signs had great and interesting information. It is also a great place to snap a quick spooky pic too!
