Really beautiful park filled with the history of early America. Many places to visit inside. There are reenactments going on throughout the park. Visitor's Center is wonderful, all historic architecture.
Beautiful spot to celebrate
Our country’s independence! We enjoyed the rangers story of the battle. The ranger at the door was also awesome giving details of the house containing the museum store. Beautiful gardens and grounds

The tour guides brought these events to life for us. It was an especially hot day but still an incredible experience to walk where those brave farmers walked to defend what they held most dear: their families, their faith, and their freedom. I was asked to consider a stirring question: what would I be willing to die for?
We throughly enjoyed our visit. The folks in the visitor's center were friendly and recommended the 2pm ranger talk. We are so glad we walked down to the bridge with the guide and heard the retelling of the events leading up to the conflict at the bridge. The rangers were so knowledgeable and seemed to make the history come alive. The bridge is in a scenic spot, and the flower gardens increase the beauty of this picturesque location. Our kids enjoyed the activities in the Jr. Ranger books and earning badges too.
A nicely maintained, paved path with clearly marked historical markers, nestled away in a nature setting. We appreciated getting more of the story behind Paul Revere's epic ride and reading the historical posts, including that of the British soldiers. The visitor center was closed for an unknown reason the day we were on site.
A truly remarkable experience for a history enthusiast and nerd. As I walked along the Battle Road trail from the visitor's center parking lot all the way to the Bloody Angle and back, one can really sense the winds of history and the enormous historical importance of these few miles.
Unfortunately the visitors' center was closed and, while the various information boards are very informative, if you can secure a guided tour, you will benefit greatly from this. I'm eager to know how come all these various historical houses and places could be saved for future generations.

Lots of great history of our country. Probably one of the best "videos" at any National Park. Very nicely done, tells the local story of the Old North Bridge, Paul Revere's ride, and the battle that started it all. A great side trip is the cabin near the bridge, where you can learn about Ellen Garrison. She doesn't give up her seat LONG before Rosa Parks.
Very nice place. The trail will take you to several historical sites and houses. The visitor center is also very informational. Highly recommend if you are into history.
Such an amazing experience to stand where the revolutionary war started. Parking is close by to the top of the hill closest to the museum and gift shop. As you step out you are over looking the field that shows the north bridge in the background. If you follow the path down the hill and around the field it will bring you to the bridge. Such a great place, rich with history beneath your feet.
This park has many historical sites and is mostly built around events that happened between Lexington and Concord. The road also doubles as a very nice walking or running path. This park doesn't require entrance fees like many other parks. There is a visitor's center that has lots of good information and some guided tours along with many history markers and houses. However, the week we were there the visitor center was closing at noon instead of 5:00 like is posted online. I don't know how to tell people to check closing time because they just put up a temporary physical sign at the entry. It might be possible to call them.
We had a wonderful tour/walk with a friendly park ranger who told us about a nearby skirmish site, what we know and what we wish we knew.

The real birthplace of the country is here.
The story is presented very well, the multimedia at the visitors' center is excellent. Extremely knowledgeable staff and great people in period costume can answer any question you may have. They also give you quite a bit of insightful back story.
We spent around 5 hours and felt that we could perhaps have used another hour or two.
Beautiful countryside that you walk through, historic buildings, and the North Bridge and Minuteman statue all combine into a great day.

If you are a Revolutionary War buff, you will love this place for the historical sites. The North Bridge was my favorite spot. We listened to a costumed ranger talk about the minute men. They do this twice a day at Hartwell tavern. They also did a musket firing demo. You could visit this park and just hit the highlights without spending a lot of time, or slow down and look at every site.
She found this place and we wanted to get out so figured we’d check it out. It was actually really cool! It was like you got to experience what they experienced way back when, within reason. Walking down the same roads, in the heat, but them not knowing if they would make it or be ambushed. The plaques were very descriptive and helpful. Lots of history in a pretty small area. Definitely glad we went. PET OWNERS PICK UP YOUR POO BAGS! We saw like 3 or 4 around the park which is absolutely unacceptable. We took our dogs but would be a shame if they every ban dogs due to lazy people. There was also a restroom facility and water about halfway of the area we toured so that was helpful. Everything was very well maintained and such. You can go in the one house if it’s open that day and talk to a staff person about stuff.
Wonderful little National Historic Park near Waltham MA. Free admission. Multiple ranger tours. Really well done 25 minute video to start your visit. 5 mile long trail that covers many historic sight. Trail is pretty flat and parts are accessible. Plenty of parking. Plan about 3 - 4 hours. Definitely recommend.
Remarkable experience…to walk the same area that these brave men walked, as they made history and began the American Revolution. It is a beautiful place, no matter the season. Be aware that for several months in the colder season the visitor centers are closed. I did not know this and so the kids were unable to get their passport stamps.
