Buy a combined ticket so that you can see 4 different places for only €10 per person. Nice museum with good selection.

A def place to visit when in Rhodes. It's truly spectacular. The whole old city is magic. The museum looks small from the outside but it is huge. It's got so many levels. The art pieces of pottery and smaller items are truly unbelievable. So many centuries ago they thought of all these pieces. A small break on one of the levels at the cafe we stopped for a cold drink, I decided for a granita and the mrs a Greek frappe and a Greek sweet. The garden area is so luscious behind all the wall structures , you would not think it was there. So many beautiful pieces of marble and rock structures were a Site to see. Some of the head stones of the period were great to see with so much detail. A must see. When you buy a ticket for the palace, add a couple more and get tickets for the museum as well. Both are a must visite

A classic archaeological museum with many finds, beautiful mosaics and myriads of statues. There is also a nice garden. The ticket costs 6 euros and the visit lasts about 30 minutes.

It's worth a visit!! We bought the ticket for 10 euros to visit both the palace and all the museums. This museum was amazing! Just go! BUT, I think it was 2 exhibitions that close around 17.00 though the museum itself close at 20.00 so go before 17 if you want to check out one of these specific exhibitions, you can have a look at the website when they are open.

I never realised how huge this place was! €6 single ticket . If you buy a ticket to the knights castle for an extra €2 you can get a ticket for here, but I'd recommend doing them on separate days as there's SO much to see at the archeological museum. There's an indoors and outdoors to it, a garden and courtyard and upper floors, with different rooms in. It genuinely went on and on, I ended up there for about 5 or 6 hours on my own there was so much to see. Good amount of shade here for a hot day, some exhibition rooms were cooler than others, loads of different exhibitions (no pics so you can see for yourself!)
They do have toilets here and there's a café here too. I'm not sure about wheelchair accessibility to everywhere (e.g the gardens) but they do have a disabled entrance (assuming via lift) another small side note I know in mainland Greece it's illegal to wear heels to historical sites with monuments so I'd assume the same here.

Beautiful and much larger than I expected.
Gardens are lovely and places to sit in the shade.
Small cafe too.
Well worth a visit

Good place to take a walk in. 10€ ticket for this museum and the palace. Can be visited on the next day after going to the palace. A lot of old statues, stones etc.
Worth going!

This museum is in the heart of the Rhodes' Medieval City. We were passing by during the weekend and despite the €6 entrance price, we could enter free (together with many others). It was really nice to visit and learn a lot more in the history and culture.
From Wikipedia: The museum is housed in the monumental edifice that was the hospital of the Knights of Saint John. Construction was begun in 1440 and brought to completion in the time of the Grand Master d'Aubusson (1476-1503). The Museum contains various collections of archaeological artifacts from various parts of Rhodes and the neighbouring islands, including the Statue of the Crouching Aphrodite (1st century BC)

You can buy a ticket which covers both this and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes and lasts for 3-4 days. The best part of the museum are the gardens where the exhibits come over really well in context.

Great little museum with many ancient relics. History buffs will love the antiquities that are all over the place and there are many you can touch. Gets hot in summer, bring sone water while walking the multiple rooms, halls, and what looks like burial chambers

You will find some of the exhibits in the open air, and some on the second floor, located in many small rooms. Also there is the crypt with the tomb stones of the dead knights. If you enjoy looking at small antiques and reading their labels, you'll love it. My teenage child was not very interested. We were in July and used combo tickets. 10€ with other places, child was free

Not a great collection, and sadly a real lack of any real context to what the pieces mean, and what they teach us about historic Rhodes. A 3-4 scattered panels give you a real quick deep dive into Rhodes’ history, but most of the written text is describing the appearance of the object which you can already see, in clumsy English.
I’m a museum fan and I was very bored, you should skip the entire top floor if you’ve ever seen a Greek pot or vase before and take the stairs up next to the toilets to see the open air mosaics and amazing garden.
Some crusader gravestones and Greek statues are in the large upper room next to this garden, fairly interesting, with a restored home in the garden, which again has sparse information or access. A clear lack of investment is sadly obvious here.
