Old House

A great place to stay if you need an accommodation near the airport. We just spent a night in this lovely “home” as we had to catch an early morning flight to Athens.

This place is definitely not a high-end accommodation, but it basically had everything we needed including washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen. Michael, the host, was really friendly, and he gave us a good recommendation on the nearby restaurant. It was also a nice surprise that he offered us some water, coffee and bread. I felt that he carefully thought about many little details, and his such efforts deserve 5 star ratings.

It was exactly 10 minutes walk from this place to the airport terminal, and the distance was about 400-500 meters.

The owner is very friendly and helpfull. I couldnt find a good way to travel from Gennadi to the airport and he helped me very well by Phone. His English is fine and understandable.

The place is not a 5 star hotel, but it has everything inside and the room was very clean. It is a 5-10 min walk to the airport. Everything you need as a traveler is inside the room. There are almost no negative points to mention about this appartment.

The only thing I did not like were the cars and bikes from the airport which could occaisionly make a lot of noise when driving over the road very fast.

To summarize. A fine appartment for short stay. It has all your needs and a really friendly owner.

Honestly for me it’s the worst hotel I have stayed in Rhodes.
60 € per night +10€ AC.
-Air conditioner it’s an extra (+10€) this is quite hidden, you should mention it in the description on first booking page.
-The traffic was VERY noisy all night, difficult to sleep. I stayed awake all night, didn’t sleep even for 30 min :(
-Synthetic (polyester) bedding, sheet 😳 with +30 degrees not a good combination.
-The only natural light and fresh air was from the shuttered bedroom window.
-Old and dark. Everything really used.

+Location, only reason why we stayed there it’s location (10 min walking from airport).
For bookings more than 1 day really not recommended.
+Friendly and helpful host. Feel like always available.
+Coffee/tea, water included.
