Ich war am Dienstag nach Pfingsten hier. Die Echternacher Springprossion hat eine jahrhunderte Jahre alte Tradition. Absolut sehenswert.
Wir hatten am 5.7.24 hier Firmung. Es war eine sehr schöne, lebendige, Messe. Auf die Kinder abgestimmt mit lebhaften Liedern.
In der Kirche gibt es einen kleinen Laden welcher Mittags geöffnet hat.
Im Keller besuchten wir den Heiligen Willibrort und haben noch eine Kerze angezündet.

Wunderschöne Basilika mit Krypta und Quelle. Der Ort selbst ist bekannt für seine Springprozession, eine Tradition, die dem Mittelalter entstammt und auf Wilibrord zurückgeht (8. Jhd.).
Beautiful abbey with incredible architecture. The basilica was amazing and also contains some important historical artefacts. The area is beautiful to walk by, although, unfortunately there is a car park inside it, which takes a little bit away from the experience.
Eine schöne Abtei , genug Zeit zum bewundern einplanen . Es gibt mehrere Orte um sich zu besinnen und Kerzen an zu zünden . Auch das Kellergewölbe mit der Quelle ist es wert bestaunt zu werden .
An diesem Ort wurde europäische Geschichte geschrieben. Wunderschönes altehrwürdiges Bauwerk mit gigantischer Klais-Orgel, das nach schweren sinnlosen Zerstörungen im 2. Weltkrieg in alter Schönheit wieder erstanden ist. Hier trifft sich zu den hochkarätigen Konzerten die Elite aus der ganzen Welt. Muß man erlebt haben!
