Rotterdam Square Cinema

Surprisingly pleasant movie theatre located in a nice yet mostly abandoned mall. We had no video at the start of the previews, but they were alerted, and it was soon after corrected. I've sat in both the recliners and the D-Max seats, both were comfortable.

The mall may seem fading but the movie theater is worth the trip. Some stadium theaters and some recliner chair style theaters, they even have DBox seating if you like that.

Prices are the best in the area. Saw a movie for $7 at 1pm! Tuesday nights are $5 movies.

Concession prices are good too.

This is a great theater! I got there for the $5 matinee, the seats recline. Plenty of parking, I think this is my new go-to movie theater!

I love the small town nostalgic charm of this theatre. Tuesdays all movies are $5 so its a nice cheap indoor family activity or date idea! Plus the popcorn is really yummy!🤣

We went to see Inside out 2 on Tuesday night (bargain Tuesday) while it was busy it was not packed by any means and the theatre had nothing other than candy at the concessions. No popcorn, none of the hot food they offer on the menu, no icees..literally anything you asked for they told you no or “it will be an hour wait”. I ended up getting candy and a soda and the soda was flat and watery like the bag in the machines should’ve been changed hours ago, and the candy was hard (I got sour patch kids) old and stale. The movie was great but I will probably not be going back to this theatre anytime soon.

Everytime I went was very clean. Staff need to be more friendly, plus I've been there 3 times in 6 months, never enough popcorn. I always get the biggest one where you can refill. I left a few times without getting a refill because shortage of popcorn. Please fix this problem. My 80 yr old friend loves her popcorn.

I love going to the Rotterdam cinemas for many reasons. One being how affordable it is to see a movie. Tickets being 8-12 dollars, and then popcorn being 10-15 dollars, I don’t think I’ve spent more than $30 to go see a movie there. The front counter staff are very friendly, and you can tell they love to work at the theater!

The only reason I’m giving it 3/5 stars is because of the theater cleanliness. Me and my friend went to go see a movie back in March, with only 5 people in the whole theater for the movie, it was a mess! I had cups in the cup holders, old popcorn bags on the ground, popcorn and candy crumbs littering the floor below me. It seemed no one cleaned the theater before we went to see our movie. I also had a bad experience on opening night of the FNAF movie, the only time I’ve seen the theater fully booked. And everyone kept talking and talking and screaming about the movie. Some of us just wanted to enjoy the movie in peace. No venue staff came in to quiet the theater down.

I highly recommend coming to the Rotterdam cinema and supporting local theaters. It’s affordable and a fun time if you’re looking for a night out. I will be back for the above reasons, but I hope this review can help spark some change!

Good theater without massive crowds. DBox seating by reservation. Staff are courteous and usually, the theaters are very clean. The seats are elevated just enough to make it easy to see over the people in front of you. Matinees are discount priced. Theaters have reclining chairs.
