Easy parking. Great performance space. Really nice venue.
The university itself as a campus is spectacular. I love everything that surrounds that university environment, where the academy flourishes. I love the kindness of the people who assisted us from the purchase of tickets, reception and organization. I thought the price was a little high. for the ticket, on that occasion we paid $40, the show was sensational, I loved it. The parking lot is quite busy, you have to leave with enough time, that day we saw synphonic and campus bands.
Small, intimate theater where basically all seats are great. School setting provides for easy parking at MSU, and stage crew is top notch.
We arrived a little late, took seats in the balcony where we had a perfect view and the sound was also perfect. The Montclair State orchestra performed magnificently, and could easily be confused with a top notch professional, philharmonic orchestra.

I've been going to the Kasser Theatre for about 10 years, if not longer. It's a real gem of a find. The students offer a wide range of performances: orchestra, jazz, chorus, plays, musicals, dance, etc. There are also professional performances. I recently saw the Shanghai Quartet perform there. Excellent! The tickets are very reasonably priced, $10-30. How can you go wrong? There's on site parking which is reasonably priced, & I recently discovered an on-campus diner, very cute, 1950's retro style, with decent food. Also, the theatre itself is very attractive & comfortable, with very good acoustics. The lobby offers coffee, tea, & light snacks. Performances do follow the school calendar, unless they've changed that this year. Give it a try!
