They don't empty the garbage cans all the way to the bottom. That's why we have rats.
The Sanitation department is largely responsible for the rat problem in Newark, as well as the general lack of cleanliness of the city. Every holiday garbage does not get picked up. Because of this, garbage sits out for much longer. The rats come and they tear open the bags, spewing trash all over the ground, attracting even more rats. Trash does not take a break on the holidays. And then the city plays catch-up, but never actually catches up. There is garbage everywhere and the city is extremely unsanitary because of it. This increases the chances of health problems among the residents. This is a complete failure on the part of the city. This is lazy and ineffective.
Horrible service.
It’s horrible how the garbage man just throw the can on the floor leave garbage in the middle of the street and instead of pulling to the side the stay right in the middle!!!! Someone need to check on this workers see how sloppy they do there job I have pictures
Trying to get a job here I know people that work here
Garbage pickup in this area is horrible. They do not pick up on schedule, they do not care for your cans, they do not avoid fines and fees that customers get in our neighborhood. I was given a green ticket to go to court because someone from the street put either a bottle or can on my unpicked up garbage at 9:45am now I've got a mandatory court appearance for other people's and the city of newark nj negligence... #totallydiagustedwithnewarknj
