An amazing collection of items worth visiting! Children don't pay an entrance fee. A must for all history buffs.
Good museum to see, it has a model of war zone that is really good. It shows how hard our army is doing for us. For age 17 and below are free and > 17 years old 95 kroners .
This is great Museum - 2 giant floors of a detailed war exhibition of the Danish war history from 1500 till todays wars against terror. A highlight is the section about the daily life of soldiers deployed to the middle east. Can recommend for history nerds (3-4 hrs) but also for families with children (1-2 hrs).
Great museum on danish history it has a large collection of weapons from the early middle ages especially artillery pieces. It also explains most major events in denmark beginning with the kalmar union to it took me around 3-4 hours to visit also not too crowded
Quite an enjoyable museum. Very well curated and explained. Great selection of historical pieces, well preserved too.
Periods mostly from the Pre-renaissance era to modern day. (Before that gotta go see the National Museum).
Bottom floor is the artillery and the superb Iraq War exhibition - very immersive and interactive.
The above is a display of the navy and the armed forces over time. Informative and detailed.
Overall, the ticket price is worth its price, as a history and military casual nerd, I’ve spent about 3 hours there.
P.S: Oh, you will get a 50% discount coupon for the WW2 museum too.

Definitely worth visiting if you like history of warfare. Highly recommend if you’re into naval warfare and artillery (big and complete display for both). Sadly not a lot of medieval warfare/artefacts. After the visit I still believe the tickets are slightly expensive.
Very enjoyable museum! As a fan of history, particularly war time history, this is the place to visit! Plenty of attractions educating tourists the history of Denmark during wars and conflicts! The Afghan part of the museum was particularly interesting on how life was like for the soldiers during service there! Very cool museum and I can’t highly recommend!
Probably the best exhibition on Afghanistan I've ever seen. Really good displays in a huge building.
I like the war museum and I recognize the most of the things they have experienced cause I unfortunately experienced also the war in Afghanistan in my childhood.
The times changing and technology is developing all the time and getting modern and more dangerous

Interesting and big museum with lots of history. Goes from knights in armor from the 1500 all they way up to the 2000th. Ships battles in the Baltic, cannon development over the ages, ww1, ww2, there is also a leopard 1 tank outside to look at, Denmarks part in Nato and Afghanistan, the cold war, and now also a recent addition about the ongoing war in the Ukraine. War is not the most great of topics but if we don't remember history we are bound to repeat it.
Great museum, enjoy.
Great museum, enjoy.
The exhibition about the presence of the Danish army in Afghanistan was very interesting. Very peaceful, allowing you to calmly see the museum.
Really nice and interesting to visit. Fascinating to see so many weapons, armoured vehicles, cannons, all from various ages during the history of Denmark, for example about medieval times, the Danish navy, the conflicts with Sweden, Prussia and then Germany, until the modern day with a section dedicated to the Danish troops sent to fight in Afghanistan.
Amazing for history nerds like me and it’s a visit i recommend

Visited with my copenhagen card and spent around 40 minutes there. Learned quite a lot of danish war history. Disappointed that they didn’t include much about their role in forcing underage german pows to clear the mines after ww2. The exhibition about the current ukraine war is quite emotional and good.
If you’re into military history this is a must visit museum in Copenhagen. It is mostly over one huge first floor. really well displayed items with good English translations. Exhibits are right up to present. Was free entry with the Copenhagen card.
