Do not miss the chicken liver rosette. Divine perfection!!

Had to start with that as it was easily one of the best bites of the year.

Tried a nice selection of share plates including the Kentucky Fried Maitaki, the Side Stripe Prawn Bruschetta, and Scallop Crudo - with an extra order of side bread and Susu butter.

The dishes are deceptively filling - and very fresh.

Wines are available by the ottle or glass, with a 'fresh sheet' of daily wine specials on the chalkboard.

Love this place!

I’ve always been a fan of Bar Susu, and this is their “new” location after a fire at their old one. Apparently it’s only temporary as they’ll be heading back once the place is done with renovations.

Anyway, the food is just as good as I remembered it to be and their drinks are delicious.

I definitely like the family sharing style tapas as we get to try a bit of everything. Definitely liked the beef tartare a lot and the cheese puffs.

Definitely recommend coming out here with a groups so you can maximize the menu. It’s a good spot for a night out and a treat for yourself.

Everything was exceptional. Ordered the chef's menu and loved everything we tried. For $65 per person, it's quite a bit of food and well worth it. Good selection of wines too.

Incredible natural wines, amazing service (thanks Gavin!) great vibe and the food was outstanding as well! Best restaurant experience I’ve had in Vancouver in a long time. Also the desserts are a must try, along with the zucchini and the trout. Everything was great but those 3 were show stoppers. Also fairly priced for what you get. Could not recommend more highly.

Bar Susu had recently introduced tasting menus so I decided to give it a shot. I liked all the dishes except for the eel soup because the flavors didn't blend well to me, sausage flavor and eel basically. I think the salad had rice crackers in them, wasn't really a fan of that probably because I just don't like rice crackers. I would probably come back again when visiting Vancouver.

Did the $65pp chef choice deal and added extra risotto and chicken fried mushrooms. Delicious food and attentive service. Definitely recommend along with their extensive natural wine list.

Better value and tastier food than their sister restaurant Published imo.

Bar Susu was a very cool restaurant with very unique and delicious food. We did the chef tasting menu and shared a bunch of small dishes and really enjoyed it. Some of the food was maybe a little too “experimental” for us, but most items were great. The cocktails had the same vibe - lots of experimental stuff but overall really good.

The restaurant was very expensive so be warned about that! You also have to pay a deposit to reserve - but I highly recommend reserving.

Good but not great. Food was underwhelming, but staff was friendly and enthusiastic. Unfortunately though we were left alone for quite sometime after our plates had been cleared at the end of the meal which made the difference on the quality of service and enjoying an aperitif to close out the evening. I asked for wine pairings with two of my mains. First glass was red and when the 2nd glass (white) came to the table the server poured it into the red wine glass (with a sip of red still in the glass). $65 per person for the chefs selection which is decent value for the amount of food you do get. Ambiance was nice.
