Chepiche cafe is the ultimate destination for breakfast and lunch. I ate here every day for my visit in Oaxaca. The staff is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is a serene and inviting outdoor courtyard with a fountain and a sheltered section. The dishes are inspired, fresh, and beautifully plated on lovely locally made ceramic plates and bowls. They have espresso and fresh juices. Highly recommend, we will be back!
While this brunch spot is a little further out from the more touristy areas of Oaxaca, in the Reforma neighborhood, it's one of my favorites for being so quiet and peaceful. The ambience is very relaxing. I had their huevos ahogados, a regular fruit bowl and a grilled fruit bowl and all were heavenly.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful, shady courtyard. Exceeded expectations…there are so many wonderful places in Oaxaca, but we liked this one so much we went back for another meal. Highly recommended!

We visited Chepiche Cafe during our stay in Oaxaca. We heard great things about this spot. Although the food was good, the service was a bit slow. Went during brunch time where they offer mainly sandwiches and salads. Although breakfast is served till 2:00 p.m. we were hoping to try some of the bigger dishes that are not available until dinner. They focus on using fresh and local ingredients from local vendors. Even though it's beautiful to sit outside, there are lots of trees with nuts that attracts squirrels out and they constantly drop Nutshells and leaves down to your food.
This place had good reviews and we wanted to try. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great! The staff were really friendly. I thought my plate was really good. I had Huevos Rancheros. The egg could have been cooked a little longer since they were a little runny. But the salsa, beans and cheese had good flavor. My wife was disappointed with the Chilaquiles. I think partly because she is used to mine. She felt the sauces they used were too sour or bland. Kids had hotcakes and well you can't screw that up. We also had a fruit bowl. Very ripe papaya was really good. The scenery was beautiful, open and surrounded by natural shade. Only problem, were the flies. It was worth the trip out. Also, parking is a nice 5 minutes out in a public parking lot unless you get lucky with street parking.
Hands down the best breakfast spot in Oaxaca. It was so good we came here multiple times to try different items. They have really good coffee and freshly squeezed juices. A beautiful outdoor seating area and courtyard. Their pancakes were amazing as well as their pastries like their warm banana bread. Everything was delicious and highly recommend coming here. We loved it here! ❤️
