I personally like how the noodles and sauce come together. Love the fried wan tan. Pretty cheap. RM5. But I am easy to please so take my review with pinch of salt.
saw someone share about this place so decided to try out.
firstly sauce is ok. i like wan tan mee with dark sauce and not too wet. but unfortunately the noodle has the ki zui taste.. the noodle weird taste. so end up overall rating is meh.. even the wan ton tasted 👎🏼. Koay teow thng next stall tasted way better. location is by the street, you should be able to withstand the drain smell. don't even mention cleanliness, you will have to close one eye

Both koay teow thng and wan tan mee taste is old school taste. If you are craving for these 2 at night... Do come over. Very happening at rukun tetangga. You going to enjoy the atmosphere here. Wan tan mee start from 20:30-11:00. Koay teow thng is from 17:00 to around 01:00+.
Perhaps I had way too high of expectation for this place so I did not enjoy it. Food were decent but I find them pretty bland to my liking (both soup and dry wonton noodles). The people were so nice tho, and serve very quickly.
An inexpensive and traditional style wan tan noodles in dark soya sauce with a separate bowl of soup with three wantan. One plate of small wan tan noodles plus one medium plate of wan tan noodles came up to RM8.50 which is cheap based on today’s prices of food. (Just down the street along Carnavon Street is another good wan tan noodles cafe but one plate is RM8). I believe they open mornings and evenings.
Last visited August 2022.
I ordered the standard plate of dried wonton noodles, RM3.80.
This modest stall is nestled away in the corner unit of a coffee shop whose nameplate has faded, scarcely reading 瓊南發, along Malay Street and Beach Street intersection.
Few tables were set up along the Kaki Lima, or five-foot way. The female stall owner was cheerful and gave everyone a smiley face greeting. The stall opens up early; I placed my order at 6:30 a.m.
The dried wonton noodles were swirled in a dark soy sauce and oil mix. The noodles was cooked al dente. It came with char siew slices and a piece of fried wonton, but without the chicken slices. Additionally it was served the old-school manner with a separate bowl of soup with two wontons in it. The homemade sambal was a tasty complement.
The stall also sells Suikow dumplings,
Koay Teow Th’ng and Beehoon Th’ng.

Probably the cheapest wanton noodles and meal i had in Penang. their cart is just right outside the coffeeshop which has very limited seats. the surrounding is not exactly the cleanest.
if i didn't remember wrongly, my noodle was rm4 and the portion was quite generous. The noodle would be better if the amount of sauce is reduced. The coffeeshop served pretty good ice coffee.
