We went there for a dinner during Kathmandu visit and were pleasantly surprised with decent quality of their food and service. Its a nice clean place and centrally located, adjacent to Durbar Mall. They serve delicious north indian food.

TANDOORI BLISS AT MOTI MAHAL

Moti Mahal is a pure veg North Indian haven that delivers on all fronts. The tandoori momos are an absolute triumph—juicy, flavorful, and charred to perfection. The speedy service ensures you savor every moment, and the inviting ambience strikes a perfect balance. A must-visit for those craving authentic North Indian delights in a delightful setting.

Upmarket, pure vegetarian restaurant, with tasty food and great service. Gives a fine dining experience, on the darbar marg road, which appears to be comparitively posher. Some of my favourite dishes were:
1. Paneer butter masala
2. Dal makhani
3. Tandoori butter roti
4. Kulfi
5. Salt lassi

Place has a nice atmosphere and a good view during day.
May be hard to see the actual restaurant while driving along the road, it is in the same building as darbar jewels, and is further down the road from pizza hut, KFC, and American tourister. It is on the second floor.

Would totally recommend coming here!

Finally a decent vegetarian food place in Nepal we had found.
Clean - Green - Veg - Vegan thats how we love it.
The restaurant is vegetarian friendly and the service is pretty amazing the staff is friendly the food tastes good

I've never been this satisfied after eating at a restaurant, wonderfully delicious food, bit expensive but the taste definitely compensates it. It's definitely a paradise for vegetarians.

Went there for lunch so was not crowded. The ambiance is more a typical Indian restaurant , you will get the vibe as you enter. We called for tomato soup which was nice, paneer roll-ok, dal makhani- amazing, malai kofta- great. Its pure vegetarian, serves vegan as well. Also for those who belong to our family category- they make soya free food(except vegan) n non-onion/garlic as well!
Overall a must visit!

They have added more options. And food has gotten even better with lesser spice quotient than earlier.

If you love Indian veg food, this place is one of the best in Kathmandu to dine-in. Almost everything is good and ambience is super but can get you in a waiting queue during peak hours, better you get your seat reserved before.
