Magical site and so peaceful. Worth going if you are in Phang Nga. Free entrance.
I passed this place 3 times before stopping. Don’t make that mistake stop on your first. Incredible.
What a beautiful temple inside a marvellous cave system! Well worth a detour (1 km from main road).
Easy approach from parking (5 min) over 200 steps. The ladders inside cave system are steep but well protected.
We spent there a good hour during which we only met 2 other people (during prayers).
This a place of religious worship, so dress accordingly and keep silence.

Set high up a limestone cliff this temple is a unique and a must-see destination. As this temple is off the beaten track for most tourists you will get to see a beautiful place that others rarely get to see.
If you love exploring unique and beautiful places, this is the place for you! Dragon Cave Temple is actually a monastery and a place for meditation. It features an impressive limestone cave with huge stalactites built high up into a rocky limestone hill and you’ll find a very special atmosphere that is perfect for meditation and reflection. It is a stunning natural wonder with a beautiful and otherworldly interior.
Dragon Cave Temple is best known for the local herbal medicine (to lower blood cholesterol) made by the resident monks.
It is free to enter with donations appreciated. Remember to dress respectfully. You need to remove your shoes after the first staircase.

Temple tucked away in a cave, without the hurdle of tourists you will see in Phuket / Krabi.
Really cool spot tucked away in a big limestone grotto. Spent a little time wandering around the grounds and weaving in & out of the cave systems. It is clean and reasonably maintained. The dogs are more bark than bite and most are pretty friendly. Stay away from the monkeys.
This cave is a holy place, clean, quiet, suitable to be relax. and easy to visiting.
We drove to this temple from Khao Lak. There are tours arranged from local hotels, but we had a rental car and made the circuit ourselves. This was the first stop. A little hard to find and way off the beaten path. In fact we were the only visitors and 2 girls opened the place for us. They were ready to lock the gates when we left, until I told them my wife was in the bathroom.
Cave system is extensive and can be quite dangerous with some rickety steps and railings. Didn't help that we had to take off our shoes and walk on the dirt or rock barefoot.
Worth a stop if you make the temple circuit. Not worth a special trip.
