This place is very helpful in some ways, the Security Guards ( some of them) don't know how to talk to the people, always on their phones, the social workers have no communication at all with nobody or with each other, why it takes so long ( 45 days or more) to get a response for food stamps and cash for for person ( rent, storage facility, being hungry, and our bills are being late due to waiting from the social workers.
All theses things shouldn't be happening like this. It should be team work, communication with each other ( with the supervisors, coworkers and with the clients), helping us to pay our rent, storage facility bills, and get our food stamps on time.

Had to go here to assist someone to get a NYC ID and staff was very informative and the trip was a hit. The person received their ID in the mail 2 weeks later.
Came here to pick up my card, only been here for 20 minutes then left. They are extremely polite at the desk and very helpful.
All the staff here are so, so kind and demonstrated what it means to be a New Yorker. I came here to get my IDNYC and though there was a long wait (to be expected as they are short staffed) the whole process was very quick and seamless once I was called up.
The staff is very, very nice though I haven’t managed to resolve anything. Have been trying to file for services since 31 March 2023! Why is everything sooo hard? This puts the crazy in bureaucracy
When you are coming to any government agency, you must be extremely patient. Not only with the people seeking services but with the workers as well. They can be even more rude than the clients
I would not recommend Evelyn Burroughs to assist anyone regarding substance abuse cases. It was apparent to me she is short tempered and easily angered when asked standard questions regarding your case. Her frustrations were displayed when interviewing a client and talking on the phone to make a referral for a client. She exhibits aggressive behaviour. May be dealing with underlying issues. Anger management is highly recommend.
Went to appointment to replace IDNYC card. The office is on ground level, MANY people were there getting their applications processed. The staff were busy and patient, but the amount of verification (originals) is a lot. They aren't digitized, so can't verify your application documents online, and being able to speak multiple languages would be a big plus.
The building houses many City offices, and is buzzing with people interacting with every form of City bureaucracy, for better or worse. Only one location of many, it gives a glimpse of just what NYC provides and tries to manage for its millions of residents. With, generally, grace and respect. My Receptionist was a study in friendly cooperation.
