Nice little park with a waterwheel near the Visitor Centre. Parking was terrible because a market was set up in the parking lot and parking was filled by the market vendors. Where do customers park for the neighbourhood businesses, so I just double parked, and I wasn't a popular guy. Our first impressions of a small town, with small town thinking and the business visited, was the Chemainus Visitor Centre.
Very charming park in the heart of Vancouver Island. Went here for an accordion concert.
The famous water wheel is worth the visit! Not to far off the main highway in a small little town.
Nice , quiet place. It's in the city of murals on Vancouver Island. Definitely something to visit! If you want to invest, this is a place to hide your money and wait to grow! Nice people and great shopping experience from liquor stores, grocery stores and gift shops. A friend and I drove bicycles from Vancouver, BC to Tsawwassen. Took two ferry boats with one stop bike ride on Salt Spring Island. Nature is beautiful and preserved, islanders are tough and rude from outside but very nice, informative and helpful. Actually we got some freebies including food and overnight sleeping! Definitely going back!
It’s nice but could’ve been better. Some arts are amazing whereas are just the historical for the time being. I don’t see the reason why it’s world renowned for it’s creativity or colour. It’s not breathtaking, so don’t get your hopes high if you’ve amazed by the Asian murals.
The cherry blossom trees were gorgeous!! So was the water wheel! However, it's not much of a park more of a sit down place in the middle of a small town. The shops and museum were all closed due to covid.
Had some time to kill before our ferry to Vancouver and ended up at this park. The town was so quiet in thanksgiving day, no stores were open except the subway. Loved all the murals, there are signs to follow to cover all the murals.
