Good music, decent beers, simple basic no frills bar interior. Good place to chill in old town.
Private Hell remains the only true metal rock pub left in the old town. It’s a must-visit for rock enthusiasts!
Great metal bar in Bucharest! Always feels like a family reunion there. If you're into metal, you know how strong and tight our community is. This place embraces our culture. If you're in Bucharest, you can't miss Private Hell.
Great metal bar in Bucharest. Sat and had beers for a few hours while listening to the likes of Hatebreed, Iron Maiden, Madball, Metallica and In Flames. Beers prices were very cheap too. Would highly recommend to anyone into hard rock and metal.
Good prices for spirits and beer, a great place for seasoned and young rock music fans. However, faint hearted & sensitive people should find another place to have fun.
If you're in metal/rock and want to escape the tourist traps then this little dive bar does the trick.

It's not my usual sort of go to place, but I went as someone I was with wanted to visit. It's a bar that plays loud rock and metal music. A beer is 10 lei.

Loved the name of the bar and I do have an appreciation for metal. But the bartender was not welcoming and kind put off by me. He was really nice to the 3 guys wearing the black leather jackets with zippers. Maybe I should have worn the right jacket. Nevertheless - only bottled beers here. Nothing on tap. It’s a hole in the wall kind of place but what would you expect from a place called private hell, right? Not sure if it was meant to be poetic or not. Yes my pilsener was 12 lei so affordable but, again it’s a bottle. There are a couple of 2nd level platforms (see pic from one of them). The bathroom had no paper towels. I can see why others might find this place charming. But I don’t think it’s for everyone. And I think they are fine with that.
