Other than the prices of popcorn and a drink, it’s not bad. The temperature in the theater was perfect. Not too hot and not too cold. But the theater is very dirty. The carpets are almost black. They should invest a little money. We go the watch movies there often because it’s close, but would choose another theater if there was one closer that was cleaner.
Affordable prices. Clean theater. Friendly/ welcoming staff.
The theatre and concessions are fine. Ticket prices are considerably lower than theaters in Santa Fe. HOWEVER, I feel angry every time they invade my privacy by forcing me and other ticket holders to open purses, bags, coats or whatever they feel potentially could be a hiding spot for “candy contraband”! C’mon people, can we please be treated as adult humans once a month when we step out to see a film?
I gotta tell everyone kudos to the staff and management at the Dream Catcher in Espanola. I normally don't post about stuff like this. The service is always excellent, matinee prices are the best in the area concession price are great. The cleanliness of the theaters, and the fact they control the audience. We have had great experience s overtime we go.Thanks again to staff and management.
They always have good movies. The service is great. Ticket sales persons are always friendly. Snack people are always very friendly and very helpful. They're always willing to offer suggestions on how to make my snacking experience enjoyable. What I love the best is there always willing to help on how to save a penny here and there especially now on how expensive everything are.
Not sure on the night time however our day experience was awesome. Affordable movie prices and concessions. I'd never thought I'd say that ever again.
Decent theater. Run down a bit but pretty clean. Staff at concessions is...well, what you expect at a theater, super young people who aren't especially polite but get the job done. Wish they kept concessions open later, if you go to an evening movie you have to get everything first and won't be able to go back for refills or additions.
Nice theater for being in a small town. Friendly staff, decent prices for all your favorite movie snacks. Loved the fact that the price for admission was really inexpensive and the theater wasn't packed with people.
Living in Santa Fe, coming to this theatre feels like a treat and a secret gem. The staff is friendly, fellow moviegoers are always polite and quiet, and the matinee tickets are so affordable!
It just feels like going to the movies in the past, in the best and most heartwarming way possible I mean! It also feels good to give money to a smaller theatre and not a huge chain where the movie going experience is draining.

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at the Dreamcatcher. We almost made it into the theater before the three people working ticketing/security insisted on checking my girlfriend’s purse. Never had this happen at a movie theater before. They looked into my girlfriend’s purse to find my water bottle, filled with actual water. The man much larger than all the other men said “No outside drinks or containers in my theater.” Not wanting to be disrespectful in this man’s theater, I chalked it up to this being a security concern. Can’t have people getting high on their own water in the movie theaters now can we?
It was fine though. I went to put my bottle back in the car and to instead get a cup of water from the concessions. A 16oz cup of water at the theater cost $5.50. Incredible. Never before had I been asked so much money for so little water. I was blown away. Thankfully we were only seeing Killers of the Flower Moon which is only 3.5 hours long. Any longer of a movie and I might have had an issue with the way I was being treated.
Once we got seated, the movie started playing. We made it about 60 seconds in before the movie suddenly paused and the lights came on. Had someone else illegally brought their water into the theater? Thankfully not, as the big guy working security came in to inform us that due to technical difficulties, we must all migrate from theater 10 to theater 7. No big deal. We’re in his theater after all and what he says goes. So everyone in theater 10 goes into theater 7. Somehow, theater 7 was almost nearly full, save for the few seats in the front. Very strange considering how there was only supposed to be one showing for 1:05pm. Must have been the projector though. Another thing that was fantastic about theater 7 was how it was about 80 degrees in the theater. I figure that must be good for the pores.
All in all it was an amazing experience. I’m looking forward to coming back. I hope next time I get strip searched or perhaps denied the restroom. After all if I am forced to go in the theater it would only add to the already existing ambience of the theater

I love coming here for the prices and food. It actually tastes good and tastes real and the choice of you sitting where you wanna sit is AMAZING. Not having to pay 6 more dollars to sit in the back is a relief. The restrooms are spacy and clean.
Only bummer I have was the removal of the arcade. Man I miss it, met one of my old friends from school there that I hadn't seen in a long time. This place holds a lot of memories or when I was a kid and they've been treating it like they actually care and they clean unlike some big name cinemas who can't even get staff to pick up one popcorn kernel.

Great staff, good family friendly place to watch a movie. Prices are not bad for tickts. Clean, movie had good sound good pictures great.
Dreamcatcher theater has been a "go to" for years. This trip we went on a Sunday afternoon, and we arrived early to obtain tickets and buy concessions. Bathrooms were clean, movie was great, and popcorn was EXCELLENT!
No assigned seating but cheap tickets and first run movies! Food is decently priced. Staff was friendly. Theaters were clean. We'll be back!!
Can't beat ticket prices here. Matinee only $5.75!! Popcorn wasn't burnt either, which is a huge plus for me personally. Haven't been to a movie here in years and was not disappointed with sound quality or picture quality. Will definitely be back again!
