We went to celebrate my son’s birthday and have our national breakfast food! Sara was so sweet to surprise our son with a candle and to sing a birthday song for him - he really liked that. The vibe was good and the staff kept coming to check up on us and to make sure we didn’t need anything.

We complemented our meal with Leban, a drink reminiscent of what we call Dough in my country. The refreshing taste added to our overall dining satisfaction. The rice accompanying our dishes was cooked impeccably, adding a delightful texture to each bite.

The staff is friendly, the service is good, the view is nice, the deserts are in general below average
Went to Basta for breakfast one weekday morning and really enjoyed it. The breakfast platter was very delicious with great combination of cheeses, honey and rose jam. The foul was also one of the best I have had. The fresh bread made everything even more delicious.
Except for the ambiance nothing is good about the restaurant. The food is pathetic, I can honestly make better Biryani at home (and I’m not even a great cook), the staff looked demotivated, the price is not worth it. Thumbs down 👎
We were looking for a local restaurant in doha, basta could work more on the quality of food and the local taste, because the quality of food is lacks the authentic touch, the machbous and bariyani are ok but can be much better. Service is slow .The outdoor seating area is full of flies, they need to have the flies fans or anything that might help.
