A magnificent shul
Get on a tour with the jewish museum. They will take you inside the two Sephardic synagogues(Levantine and Ponentine). Amazing!
Wonderful guided tour of the Spanish and Levantine synagogues.
Great tour of the Spanish and Levantine synagogues led by Sylvia. Currently, you are bale to visit both Sephardic synagogues. If you want to learn the history of the Jews in Venice and see two marvelous and active synagogues built in the 16th century, this tour is a must. And for only 12 Euros a person, it is a really good value.
We really enjoyed the tour of the Spanish shule. Our guide was clear and knowledgeable and happy to answer any question we had to ask. The shule itself was amazing to stand in, simply because of it’s nearly 500 years of active service. It’s in remarkable condition and a testament to the local community. I’m really disappointed to not be able to see the other four shules or the museum.
