You need to plan your trip ahead of time. You need to get timed tickets in order to see the declaration of independence. You can still see a lot of history but getting the tickets is a must

The National Park ranger at Independence Visitor Center said that this hasn't been open for 4 years. It's still on the NPS map and there's a stamp in the Passport book but the building isn't open and there are no signs on the outside indicating so. Two stars because it was good to see it from the outside anyway.

Very cool! The site of where the Declaration of Independence was adapted! So much history is from the birth of our nation located right here. I unfortunately visited here on a weekday evening so I wasn’t able to take the tour inside. Still a great place to check out even if it’s not open! A lot of information is available outside of the building. Many other historical sites are within walking distance as well!

Unfortunately, this building has been closed for a while, but hopefully they will reopen again soon. Either way, you can’t help but get chills as you walk by here and understand the importance of building had on shaping our entire country.

It was closed when I went past (a Thursday afternoon), but some interesting info on the outside of the building.

Interesting place, was closed when we visit but has some explanations boards on the street

Was not able to catch it at an open time...hours didn't match what was on here. Would have been really cool to go inside, but still pretty incredible to stand outside where the Declaration of Independence was written!

It’s a beautiful historic house that has been reconstructed in the 1970s. Unfortunately, it is closed to the public until mid-2017. Still, it’s an architectural eye candy deserving of photos.
