Gorgeous theater inside and out! There is parking in back of it for the mall. Before or after, there are plenty of food options to enjoy! Historic theater that is a MUST SEE! The inside has costumes from movies!!!

We took the tour and we were impressed with how bored the guide was, he just couldn't help showing it and he wasn't very friendly with us or our group. The tour is basically at the entrance hallway, where everyone has access to and we go into the theater only if there's no a movie running so make sure to find the right time to take the tour.
And even though they say is a 30min tour, it actually lasts around 20 or less. But the decorations and architecture are very pretty

If you are not going to the main theater that has the 70 MM screen, I would not bother. The place is crowded, not clean and filled with people taking photos of the cement with the names in it and they don't seem to care if they push or knock you over.

Now, as to the main theater. There is only one and you will know when you look up the movie you want to see. The other theaters are smaller and not comfortable.

This main theater is beautiful. It has all the old art deco that was the pride of the Chinese for decades. They have redone all the seats and there is not a bad seat in the house. Each row is lifted so you can see and the backs of the chairs go back. They are super comfortable.

The concessions are nothing to write home about. They are the same as any movie house. They are pricey and not great.

The service is super nice.

The sound is great and the picture is amazing. We saw Oppenheimer there and are so happy we did. We will be back for another great movie like this one, but as to the smaller theaters that are now part of the Chinese Theater, we will pass.

If you are a tourist, your wallet is in your front pocket. Take all the photos you want but be considerate of others. Have a great time.

This IMAX theater is simply beautiful. It has a long history and it’s worth going just to see the interior. It is a very large theater which allows you to sit much closer to the screen in comparison to more recently built IMAX theaters. Sound and picture is excellent.

we walked several times along this long street and the sidewalks are full of stars. There we visited a performance in the Chinese theater. We came from New York, where we attended the premiere of the last Harry Potter at Lincoln Center. Of course, all the main players were present. Great. For my daughter's birthday, we watched this movie again at the Chinese theater. We had to eat snacks. We also enjoyed taking photos and taking selfies with the fingerprints of famous movie stars. It was a really special and unforgettable experience.

This is what going to the movies should feel like! The amount of history within these walls made the experience so much greater. Match that with industry leading audio and visual equipment, and you have a movie experience that can not be matched.

TCL Chinese theater is the theater where a majority of Hollywood movie premieres are held. The architecture of the building (including the exterior as well as the interior of the main theater itself) is very unique and worth the visit to either take a tour or watch a movie here. In the outdoor courtyard before the main entrance, there are a variety of handprints and footprints in concrete from celebrities that were taken during specific movie premieres. Also, plan to come early so you can walk around the lobby and check out the film props on display! Movies are fairly priced here with maybe a slight premium, but it is definitely worth it for the experience of sitting where the filmmakers sit!

"The Chinese Hollywood Theater is a true gem that combines the magic of cinema with the allure of history. Stepping into this iconic establishment feels like stepping back in time, with its stunning architecture and timeless charm. The intricate details of the building's exterior, including the legendary handprints and footprints of countless celebrities, make it an essential destination for any film enthusiast."

Very pretty theather!! First time being here and I was very impressed. You can parking in the structure close by and they validate for 2 hours! (You only have to pay 3 dollars). Generic theater food and there is some alcoholic choices but it's open to whatever they can make that day (they don't have a menu)

We were lucky enough to be accommodated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during our stay. That's why we walked several times along this long street and the sidewalks are full of stars. Great. For my daughter's birthday, we watched this movie again at the Chinese theater. We had to eat snacks. This place was the perfect experience for Oppenheimer. It was what Christopher Nolan wanted us to watch it and the theater was a great place for it. The food was average for movie foods but we’re kind of pricey. The atmosphere and quality of screening made up for it. The employees were nice enough to show the film of Oppenheimer( 11 miles, and 600 pounds) which was an awesome thing to witness. Definitely a place to go.

Went to see the Barbie movie at the Chinese theater on the Hollywood boulevard. This movie theater has a lot of cinema history. You can find handprint and foot prints of many actors and actresses. I loved looking for the people I admire on the big screen. This is a must see if you love watching movies as much as I do. There are plenty of other attractions nearby.

I loved the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. You can see a movie inside. There are so many stars of the famous actors and actresses right in front. There are also plenty of footprints and handprints of actors and actresses right next to the Chinese Theatre. It is a very impressive building and a movie theater. Chinese Theatre in Hollywood is a must to see historical landmark if you are in Los Angeles! It was my dream to see it and I am so happy that I visited.

Beautiful historic location. It always puts a smile on people's faces putting their hands on the various hand prints. I have been many times in my life and I always find it to be a good time.

Absolutely Beautiful! A must do when you’re in town. Definitely have to go back and check out a movie! The autographs are a wonder to see, how small men and women were back then, let’s ya know how long we’ve come with hormones and changes in diet!! 🤣😂
