An iconic structure in Old Montreal but it would be cool if the inside was open to the public.

Clean, clock tower with some missile statues and a tribune to war soldiers. Very clean and neat, close to pier and you can hear Picnik Electronik from here as well.

It was a cute place to walk around. The area is good for family, couples, or friends to do some activities. There is no bathrooms.

After watching the light show, I then stroll over to the clock tower.

It was easy to nagivate since there is no other tall building blocking the view from afar. I arrived before 10pm but the clock tower is closed, not sure why.

The view at the surrounding at night is nice and relaxing.

Excellent space for events like taste of the Caribbean and fireworks. Summer in the city is what the clock tower promises. Pics were not intended therefore the poor choice of these two singular shots taken at the space. I’ll have to add others later… However, I believe several
Iconic clock tower pics exist on the wickedly wide wonderous weberooni

Those looking for views should visit the historic Clock Tower. Dating from 1919, this iconic structure is 45 meters high and performs double duty as a lighthouse. The Old Port of Montréal’s iconic Clock Tower celebrates its 100th year in 2022. Still a prominent feature of the city skyline, the Clock Tower continues to welcome visitors, watercraft, and tourists as they make their way along the Mighty St. Lawrence River. By the way the Prince of Wales placed foundation Stone in 1919

The Clock Tower was named a Classified Federal Heritage Building in 1996. In addition to commemorating the courage of the seamen of the Merchant Marine who perished in the First World War.
Climb the 192 steps to the top, and you'll be rewarded with great views of the St. Lawrence River, Old Montreal, and the Jacques Cartier Bridge off in the distance. Admission is free.

we were tired so did not try this, there is a beach nearby (man-made, small beach).

Take a nighttime stroll through the streets to capture the most beautiful scenes. From the clock tower, you can see the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, offering a stunning view, especially at night.

The Clock Tower [correctly, Tour de l’horloge du Vieux-Port de Montréal] is a prominent quay-side monument in remembrance of the sailors who lost their lives in the worst of the world wars that took place in the first half of the twentieth century. The tower and accessory structure, built largely of brick, is of inter-war date in the 20th century, and is decorated in a decisive Art Deco architectural style, common in the inter-war period. The open side to the river of the quoi supports most of the dedicatory inscriptions, supplemented with a plaque (somewhat miniature in scale) in which the 1951-53 war is added. Very much worth the (free) walk to the end of the quoi. Today, Sunday 19 May 2024, getting into the tower was closed off.

It’s a really nice place to go sit and relax, we went at night and the lights were really pretty to just hang out.

Nice spot to sit around and relax. There's a ton of seagulls, pigeons, and geese everywhere. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the water view. There's also a playground. A bit trashy but otherwise nice to walk around.

Nice clock tower and view of old Montréal! Next to the old Montreal beach, and near the parking lot as well. Well maintained and great to spend the day with friends and family!

A strategically build clock tower with cannons (early 1900), offering wonderful view over the St Lawrence river and many bridges.

The location is amazing and everything is beautiful, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery.
It does seem a bit abandoned, some trash around and just overall dirty.
Still worth visiting.

Sehr schöner Turm mit Blick auf den St. Lorenz Strom. Leider war der Turm geschlossen! Es gab keine Hinweise, wann er wieder geöffnet hat. Er dürfte länger geschlossen sein! Schade!

Yeah the beach is pretty decent for suntanning albeit I was told I could climb the hundred and something steps up the tower and enjoy the view but all the doors were closed when I got there and apparently that was not the case. Solid beach 5/7.
