Wow. I was so surprised with all the stuff they had from daughter's school. She said "it was like seeing my school but in the past!"
Loved it. Located in the heart of Old Burien with the most helpful curator ever
The Highline Heritage Museum is incredibly unique! I definitely saw that stuff that I didn't soon forget and I learned a lot as well. Had to Google a few things after because I wanted to know even more! Half the museum is super cool info that anyone would find cool, the other half might be interesting mostly to the surrounding community. Either way it's a lovely space in the heart of Burien where some great bars and restaurants are. There is a lovely recording studio where they record the museum radio station, a beautiful gallery space and a pretty great gift shop. This place also offers great events, you should definitely check them out!
great local musiem for the greater Burien area. I have a business group that eats with 25 of us and they have a very affordable conference room. Nancy the caretaker is wonderful and truly cares about the local community. Bring the family for an afternoon of fun education!
This was an awesome find while walking around Burien. The staff was super friendly and informative. We are somewhat new to the area and the staff told us about a lot of really cool local events. I really appreciate hospitality like that. The tickets to the museum were cheap ($8 for adults) and they have a cute little gift shop where I bought a sloth stuffie. I had a great experience and would return when I'm in the area.
A small, but amazing museum! I don’t know if I’d come back here by myself, but this is a great place to take the kids. They loved looking at every single exhibit and had a wonderful time!
Staff was lovely, and the exhibits and info about Highline, Burien, and Seatac were great! It is very nice to learn about the history of the land I live on! 10/10, coming back again. They also have a rotating art gallery of local artists which was fun!
A fairly new addition to Burien🤗 I just peaked in the front area and had to take a picture of the dinosaur bones that were dug up somewhere around SeaTac! To see the rest of the relics and novelties, admission is around $8 for adults. Gotta go back for a thorough visit this summer. Looks like a great place to take the kids and your out of town visitors.
