The juice is not worth the squeeze. The hike there is mostly straight up over roots and sharp rocks. And while the lake at the end is beautiful, it's too cold to swim in enjoyably no matter how hot and sweaty you got hiking there. Just dipping my calves in I thought I'd get hypothermia. On top of it all there's these annoying mini yellow jackets flying around as well as aggressive flys that love to land on you. So while I might suggest doing this hike ONCE if I lived in Chilliwack (or closer), it's not worth the trouble if coming from Vancouver when you are considering the 4 hours of total driving time and the $60 in gas you have to spend. No thanks. Not worth it.
Exceptional hike and beautiful scenery from start to end of lake. (3.4kms round trip took around 2hrs + with 6-year-old boy) Arrive early since the hike will get busy during weekend, we arrived at 8:30 and had most of the hike to ourselves which made the experience much more enjoyable. Surface elevation: 838 m
The hike back many were making the way to the lake.
There are 2 Washrooms - one near the parking lot and other nearby lake( not maintained well).
Make sure to dispose all your trash and before leave.

Beautiful hike! It’s straight up nearly the entire way with crawling through rocks. If you’re out of shape like I was, it was a bit of a struggle, but having the proper gear helped immensely. We passed a lot of people who turned around because they didn’t have the proper footwear and were hiking in jeans, sandals, etc. As long as you’ve got runners and activewear, you can do it!
Its better to go here in summer time when its dry, as we experience in a summer time in a cloudy day and it was bit slippery to go up specially when there is a rock to climb. It takes us 2hour round trip.
It was a rewarding to see the lake in the top.
Photo was taken last august 2019 when it used to have more logs that you can take a photo.but now there nothing left.

The best autumn view! 🍂 😍
We did Lindeman and greendrop lake. It's 16KM out and back trail. Took us 5-6 hours because you have to cross several boulder fields. Spent lots of time to take the photos and enjoy the nice views.
The view from Greendrop lake is far less than Lindeman.

Great hike year around . Just past Lindemann lake, you'll need snow shoes to get to greendrop. Made the hike in 6h 30 mins from parking lot to greendrop then back with break and lunch at greendrop
